I made some using a 1mt x 6mm (if I remember right) stainless tube, flattened at one end and sharpened to a point. Threaded the other end and fitted some brake pipe female connectors with rubber O rings inside. Got some 2mt lengths of 3/16" fibre glass markers from one of the farmers where I shoot. Then purchased 3/16" male and female brake pipe connectors and welded 1/8" wire at an angle of 45* either side and two bulldog clips to hold the wings spread. Looked very good and worked very well as you could adjust the length in or out to allow for the wind speed. They cost me around £7.50 for mat

The Best Way To Breast A Pidgeon
dekland50 replied to Jesse White's topic in Pigeon Shooting & Decoying
Hi Jesse welcome to the forum. I usually lay the pigeon on its back and pull out all the breast feathers. Once done you will see the breast bone. Take a sharp knife (watch your fingers) and run it down the side of the breast bone slowly working the meat away as you go. Keep the knife tight to the breast bone and you will end up with a nice fillet. Then just repeat for the other side. If you don't wish to pluck it (very easy anyway) you can skin it just by pinching the skin and pulling apart, this is also quite easy. Then just do as above. There are other ways, you could just pull the full rib -
Thanks, I shall give this a try sounds good

Hi I've just joined the forum so I thought I'd say hello to everybody and Introduce myself. I have been shooting in one form or another for many years. ( I'm in my late 50's ) Started shooting as a child using springer air rifles after being introduced to them by my brothers. Then went on to Shotguns, Fire arms and now just decided to try the pcp air rifles for the first time. Over the years I've done many forms of field sports from vermin to wildfowling and target shooting. (The latter just or fun not competition ) Hopefully I can be an active member helping members if possible and getting ad
