  1. We use venison mince as a direct replacement for beef mince. By the time you’ve chucked in some olive oil & other stuff you’d be hard pushed to know the difference. A worthy addition to a ragu sauce is some smoked back or streaky bacon. Minced on the coarse plate, not fine & only goes through once.
  2. Better product to work with, can get a much finer finish. Plus it wears as opposed to just eventually becoming brittle and cracking. Money well spent, plus with the price of gold always going up a good investment for you to pass onto the next generation
  3. Watched that after seeing your post on here - dated but still pretty harrowing A good watch

R u sure it’s a she……….. Hard to tell sometimes but definitely one for sending to a front line somewhere for a life learning experience
  9. Have never used a top bar hive but did buy one in a sale years ago - just have never got around to using it. Without a far bit of knowledge & experience I would say keeping bees in this type of hive could be a right pain in the arse. If your beekeeping isn’t enjoyable then you’ll find it an uphill struggle. There’s pro’s and con’s to all the hive formats but beekeeping is hard enough as it is without looking for trouble. There’s a lot of marketeers & do gooders putting their pennies worth in which just makes things even more confusing to those who wish to give it a go. You say not
  10. Well that all depends on what you want to do with them……… What’s ya query?

  13. I believe he can use it on land that has been certified for use of a firearm up to a given calibre in general terms. That said he may have a specific condition on his license. A simple call to the FEO should clarify and possibly open up the conversation regarding getting his ticket opened. I’ve always been lucky in Suffolk with the local FEO’s, they tend to be a help & not a hinderance.

  18. Ha. You have my sympathies. Knocked over my first buck last week, had to call in reserves to get the bugger to the truck - think I could have just about managed. But back home that was a struggle for two lifting into the fridge. Fitting a winch into the ceiling was on ‘that list’ of things to do………after that experience said winch is now in place so at least this end things will be a lot easier. Well done on your buck.
  19. This deserves to be in the joke section………funding shite by exploiting legal firearm ownership
