My lads 18 and desperate for a job, he's not expecting to start as the MD, he's applied for all the fast food places, local shops, apprenticeships and been round all the local garages handing out CVs, still nowt. It's a real shame, he's no coke head or anything like that and he got decent grades but still struggling just to get an interview.

Long shot mate looking at the date you posted this thread, but I don't suppose the nets are still available? ATB

Dorset poacher caught hefty sentence
gurnster75 replied to forest of dean redneck's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I can relate to that, if we wiped the last few out that would be the end of the sport. My point is the measures, sentences, time and money spent by the police punishing people for killing vermin (regardless of numbers, rabbits are officially vermin) is ridiculous. -

Like everywhere else numbers have dropped. Regardless of numbers rabbits are still vermin. -

The thing I don't quite get, rabbits are officially classed as vermin and land owners are legally obligated to try to control the numbers yet if you haven't got permission you're getting your car confiscated, fined and a criminal record. A nonce driving around doing what nonces do, get their name added to a register and get to keep their car? -

Took him to the station, released without charge with his gun back. Seems to be double standards and no consistency. -

Watched a documentary mini series recently which was about my local police (Northumbria), they had a cop assigned to rural crime, namely poaching. They caught a couple of guys poaching at night with air rifles, which by the letter of the law is armed trespass. They had all the local farmers, volunteers etc staking out the area which is how they caught them out lamping. At the end of the show they gave out an update as they do on these shows on the outcome, I used to do a bit of the 'armed trespass' back in the day so sat glued waiting on the sentence. -

It doesn't last forever, if you do serve your time the pension definitely helps when you leave. -

It's worked out well although still away from home during the week, not much call for my skills in the North East. Biggest miss is daily 5 a side. -

That's so strange, I was due to start a 2 year distance learning degree with Pompey Uni in January as part of a promotion, the wife's health has deteriorated this year and I came to the same conclusion as you. My time is more valuable than the pay rise on completion of the hours spent doing the degree. That was a few months ago now and it was definitely the right decision, never regretted it. You mention civilian life, you ex forces? Good luck and hope it all works out for you and your family. -
To be honest it looks good and quick to knock up as well, I like it ?

Green GZK OTT .76 23/18. Reading the threads on here I was looking for 25/20 but didn't seem to be any decent ones on eBay and I had a limited time discount voucher so went for these, as I've got nothing to compare against I thought why not. His add stated best with 9.5 balls and plenty of poke for game so time will tell.

I lost my Permission for my air rifle a good few years back when I moved from Scotland to England, stumbled across this forum and the glory days of hitting sod all with my Black Widow came flooding back so thought a catty would be ideal instead of an air rifle. Cheaper and a lot easier to conceal on a mooch, plus not classed as armed trespass - bonus. I've read all the old posts rather than ask the same question of best newbie catapult, so I've bought a snide scout off eBay, some gzk bands from Sheepy and the biggest outlay 6000 9.5 balls from balls of steel. I'll let you know how I
