I hadn’t seen or heard of that. I could even excuse that sort of talk if they’d just come out a riot situation.., where they’d been in actual danger and the adrenaline was pumping, but feeling anything but sorrow and regret after thinking you’d had no option but to deploy that to get control of a one legged 90+ year old man is the behaviour of a fcukin cowardly thug. I hope they throw the book at him.

Forza Napoli. Always had a soft spot because of Maradona and they’re the black sheep of Italian football. Amazing scenes. https://x.com/willemhaak/status/1926016646608552010?s=46&t=VY4brBw2Zl3y1kklDlkEFg

Man U were mad to let Mctominay go. And Gilmour is 23 but couldn’t break into the Chelsea team at 20? He’d do a job in the EPL.., both would easy. And before you write off Italian football and Scottish midfielders, Napoli just saw off Champions league finalists Inter to win Serie A. EPL champs Liverpool didn’t get past the last 16.

Have a sister in law and a couple of cousins who’ve done it. Sure they paid about £500 each mutt. I told them that there’ll never be a shortage of Romanian ‘rescue’ dogs whilst nutters are paying for them. Foreign puppy farms is all your creating.

Really difficult watch, and all seemed so unnecessary. I wonder now if a lot of the skills of police work have been lost to risk assessments and operating procedures. We live in such a litigious world, where everything is video’d, and a copper would risk everything surely by not doing it ‘by the book’? Obviously not condoning what went on but how out of line were the officers? Imagine the implications for them if he’d managed to hurt someone. Something I said on here a while ago after watching a couple of female officers jump out a van and head into McD’s, neither of them over about 5’4, bar

Heard it was a dreadful spectacle. Said before Man U have always been my favourite English side, so obviously disappointed. A win though would have been very thin paper over huge cracks. Fcuk Spurs, but actually delighted for Postecoglou that, even if he gets sacked, he can stick two fingers up at his detractors. I admire him for doing it his own way, for the bit of personality he brings to the EPL, and for not playing the game with the press. Listened last night to some no mark presenter say ‘he says things he shouldn’t’ in pressers. What a dick. Football management must be the most insecur

Opel Ascona, in light blue. Bit like the photo but a little lighter and four doors. Loved it.

Aged maybe 7 or 8 I used to catch them and sparrows using my mum’s washing basket propped up with a stick with a string run to me hiding at the back door…, the design of which I got from one of those ‘boy’s own’ type books. I’d bait my trap with stale bread (remember when bread actually went stale).., they’d get wise pretty quick but there was always be a bold or reckless one to catch. I did graduate to knocking a few over with an air rifle, but my old man put a stop to that after I cracked a pane in one of the neighbour’s doors with a ricochet. Like you say, wouldn’t dream of it now, altho

Hmmm, assume he’s banged up in a male prison…, go figure. Don’t forget that this nonsense is the hill that Sturgeon chose to die on. She put the rights of a biological male rapist to be labelled a woman and go to a women’s prison, front and centre and above the rights of the female victim. It was political suicide on a spectacular level and it collapsed support of the SNP overnight, undoing decades of work. Then not to mention the disastrous fall out where one of her potential successors was ‘outed’ for her ‘wee free’ and slightly conservative views on gay marriage, and who’s actual replace

Nice on toast with a bit of English mustard that.

Got a decent sized bit of lawn at the back and now the garden’s full of young starlings, mouths agape, running round after the adults which are busy rooting for leatherjackets. Had the sprinkler out on Sunday and some came in for a ‘shower. It was interesting watching the different characters.., how some were bold and some were very cautious. It’s a dangerous time whilst they’re still learning to get about. Came out to a pile of feathers this morning, which I’d usually chalk up to the neighbourhood sparrowhawk, but suspect the murderer was a carrion crow that was drinking out the bird bath..,

Hoof GP.., trimming and treating damaged cows feet. Weirdly compelling, Maybe I have some sort of a fetish

Stop taking meds about a fortnight ago would be my guess.

Suppose that’s the crux of the issue though, it’s about choice as much as the debate on who gets to choose. If you choose to go on and be cared for until your body finally gives up, despite everything medical science can throw at it, then nobody should be able to prevent you. I see those frail old men, drooling at the mouth and sitting in their own piss, permanently confused and terrified look on their faces because they can’t remember who anyone is, or have a clue what’s going on around them.., a million miles from the men they were in their prime. I think fcuk that, I want the right to chec

Kinda getting a bit tired of being told over and over, multiple times a day, that I should be amazed that with just a few clicks I’ll be able to see all the car finance deals I’ve ever had.., and whether I’m owed some sort of compensation. I’ve never had a fcuking car finance deal!

Duncan Ferguson has a book out so doing the rounds on some of the podcast thingies. Type of player who probably wouldn’t fit with the style of play in the EPL now but was effective back in the day. Lifestyle and discipline maybe held him back a wee bit, but still a hero with the blue half of Liverpool. Be a handy lad to have by your side if you got into a bit of barney, but you maybe wouldn’t want him in your quiz team.

They did didn’t they? Come across that it’d be chaos trying to figure out what’s going on, but the lad with the fire extinguisher and the one in the grey who nearly copped it, seem to have seen them off. Wouldn’t mind a bit of context as to why it happened.., was it just to extort money or something else. Pretty shocking anyway.

From a personal perspective I wouldn’t want a child of mine to suffer, but like any parent I’d fight tooth and nail whilst there was still any hope. Difficult to quantify from your description of illness etc., but say my child drowned and was resuscitated with very little brain function, then I think it would be kinder to let them go. I don’t think you can describe that as ‘wanting them to die’ or as some sort of selfish act.., I believe it’s quite the opposite.

I just don’t see that message. The whole point in assisted dying to me is in bringing about a merciful end to a life which has lost all quality.., think later stages of cancer, MND, dementia etc. It’s nothing at all to do with disability as such. I know from past conversations on this that you talk from experience of nursing and losing someone, and believe also that you hold some strong Christian beliefs and so respect your opinions. But I also heard from a doctor, a man who’s signed the hypocratic oath to ‘do no harm’ who supports the right of people to choose not to suffer…, and he’ll

That people are allowed to die with a bit of dignity and not suffer an excruciating, painful and often lingering death.., and in the midst of all that have to witness the torment of their family (including children) and friends being forced to watch on helplessly, and knowing the trauma that they’ll be left with. We literally put animals out of their misery every day, but permit no such mercy to our loved ones. Some of the main arguments of the opposition and my take: 1. Disabled people ending their life as they feel guilt at being a burden. What’s to stop them taking their life wit

Significant moment tonight as the Scottish parliament votes in favour of assisted dying. Still a ways to go but hopefully this will ease the suffering of many. I’ve listened to a bit of the debate and don’t see the credibility in any of the argument for opposing this bill. MSPs at Holyrood back Scotland's assisted dying bill with 14 vote majority WWW.BBC.CO.UK Following an emotional debate the vote on the general principles of...

Family day out in the sun. What life is all about.

Which is ridiculous in my opinion. I think the abuse of vulnerable kids was rife across society and existed anywhere there was opportunity, in schools, children’s homes, churches, all manner of sports and activities.., blind eyes turned in all of them. The BBC with the fame and stardust of some of its staff provided opportunity, but I don’t subscribe to the notion that it was/is one big enabling ring. Things are seldom black and white, and I reckon there’ll be good people caught up in all this historical stuff take guilt to their grave that they should have seen or said something. Said before

The David Jason rumours have been around over a decade now, and not sure there’s ever actually been any allegation or investigation. It’d be a shame if they turned out to have any substance. Nothing tends to surprise me now though. As said, this stuff finds fuel with the gossip-mongers and ambulance chasers in Facebook and the like.., and there seems to be no recourse for the insinuations and slurs made against individuals. I don’t do FB etc. but I believe the law is quick to jump all over people making comments that might be construed as racist, sexist, homophobic etc., but no help to anyon

RIP. Always enjoyed reading his stuff. He’d probably forgotten more about hunting rabbits than many now will ever learn.
