I’m ever the sceptic with these cunning fcukers, did the king and his heir know there was worse to come out, and an arrest to come? And was the stripping of titles and privilege and very public dressing down genuine, or part of an orchestrated plan to limit reputational damage but all the while plotting a strategy out for the paedophile formerly known as prince? Probably the best strike duo I’ve seen in Scotland was Sutton and Henrik Larsson. A lot of front men look for space but Sutton would go looking for the centre halfs because he always fancied himself to win the ball in the air. The amount of goals he made for Larsson with knock downs and headed flick ons was incredible. Won Larsson the golden boot.

In terms of partnerships, where both players really complement each other, Quinn & Phillips were something else. Mo Johnstone lives in the US and has done for over 25 years…, still not far enough away for some. Celtic fans won’t utter his name and refer to him only as Judas. I also believe that a good few Rangers fans never set foot back in Ibrox after they started signing catholics.

I think for some fight fans now all the pantomime and performance is the entertainment, the bout is almost secondary. All the nonsense, and the fact that fight coverage is split over so many platforms now, means I watch much less boxing and have fallen out of love with it a bit. Shame, but as long as someone is happy

Think Ratcliffe apologised for his choice of words, but maintained the sentiment. Thanks for that, I thought Merlin only listed birds identified by call. You can actually log sightings on your ‘life list’ if you create an account.., which I did. I’m up to ten just on todays, including a tawny owl and buzzard this morning. I made a list a while ago of species I’ve had in the garden, it stands at 31.

Does anyone know of a birders app where you can record species seen? Occasionally watch some guy on youtoob who targets around 275 species a year, but a lot of them are obscure American ducks and Asian sub-species etc. etc., and he puts in some mileage to get to that. Wondered how many I’d see just going about my business. Think if I got 75 I’d be chuffed at that, would be good to have an app to tick them off.

Of the raptors I’ve had kestrel and buzzards, but been wondering how many more I could get. I tried the app on some noisy sparrowhawks at a nest sight last year but it didn’t recognise them. I reckon peregrine would be straightforward enough, and ospreys. Often see red kites, hen harriers and the odd merlin, but don’t recall hearing them call. Merlin is a good catch though.

Fcuking state of the English girl BBC pundit after it happened…, sobbing her wee heart out. Btw, the drone footage gives a fantastic view point of the downhill event and gives a much better impression of the steepness of the course and speeds they’re travelling at. To be in with a shout of a medal you’ve got to be skiing right on the very edge, and that means close to wiping out the whole way down. Takes real guts and I take my hat off to them.

I must have 8 or 9 rods that I haven’t had out for two, maybe three decades. I’m always looking for an upgrade, especially if I can get a bargain. Those rods will NEVER be used by me again, so why can’t I throw or give them away? Similar thread last year where I posted about getting rid of probably half the flies in my boxes. Flies I’d never use again. Maybe this will be the year I get rid of those old rods.., make a bit of space for new ones.

I remember working in Holland 25 years ago and they had both glass and plastic recycling machines in supermarkets then. You’d get a discount voucher for the amount you returned, which could be redeemed with your shopping bill. The SNP disastrously tried to do similar a couple of years ago, but it fell apart as they hadn’t considered the implications on (particularly small) businesses.., and they couldn’t square everything required with the UK govt. Four of us manage to fill a 240l bin to the brim with plastics and cans every fortnight.., frightening how much we get through. I know, depending on the number living in the household, my council would supply and uplift a larger bin. Might be something to look into? Maybe tell them you’ve taken in half a dozen migrants and you can’t keep up with the mess they make.

Epstein and whom? I thought it was some Japanese fella. Also, even if it was Epstein, why would its value now collapse?
