Ronnie has had a new cue built with a titanium rather than brass ferrule. Apparently not as forgiving if you get a bit of ‘unwanted’ side. Only watched a few frames this morning but he was missing balls off their spots and seemed to have no control of the white. Totally out of sorts.

New cue and he can’t play with it. He’d be better binning it and trying something else.

Your arse collapsed you mean

Like I said, I bet the Chinese kid at the start. I think he’s the real deal. Ronnie can beat him, obviously, but I think he’ll need to play very well. Love watching Ronnie, but can’t stand his constant moaning and negativity.

Interesting that the curlew in particular gets a lot of press as being ‘red list’ endangered.., and the usual culprits of intensive farming and climate change often get the rap for it. No-one ever really seems to mention increased predation. A lot of animals and birds which might take eggs or chicks from ground or near ground nesting birds, the foxes, badgers, otters, stoats, weasels, buzzards and likely most corvids must be having an easier time of it as hunting…, either directly or in predator control on managed estates etc., falls into decline. Deer will also eat eggs or chicks if they co

An elephant born in a barn.., doesn’t make it a cow.

Fantastic little birds. Always a joy when I get them in the garden. Trees outside my work are full of them, even in the last week. I thought they’d all be paired up and doing their own thing by now.

Natural history documentaries where the prey always escapes, or the cute little baby survives some misadventure. Always with the jeopardy but never the cruel and unhappy ending. These programmes should be educational, and even if we’re don’t get to see some of the more gruesome brutality of nature, these should be true to life. I want to see more iguanas eaten by snakes and ostrich chicks baked alive by the searing heat of the African desert…, that’s why I pay my licence fee.

Nature is cruel.., who knew.

No expert but I do enjoy the calls of the various birds, and particularly songbirds. Think I posted on another thread that the song thrush is maybe my favourite of them all. Other favourites include: A robin singing solo on a dark winter morning, weeks before the other birds have even thought about spring, but brings a bit of hope that it’s on its way. A Skylark in a field on a hot cloudless summers day, where there’s that hum of insect life all about you, and you have to squint up into the bright blue to try and spot the lark, a mere speck in the sky. The ‘twittering’ sound of

New one for me on the app.., although I probably shouldn’t have needed it. Sounds more like a grasshopper than a grasshopper does.

Absolute disaster. Missus out for birthday drinks with work pals and I said I’d pick her up (an hour round trip). Text me during the third round so that’s all I saw. Listened on 5live and it sounded like a good fight. She was in a pisser of a mood cos I wouldn’t come into the pub and meet the girls. Couldn’t tell her it was cos the last round was just starting. Ah well, at least my bet was up.

Walk-ons are ridiculous now. Surely as much of a distraction for the fighters as they are a frustration for the viewer. Just get on with it ffs!

Another wee stunt by Benn’s team sending a fat BJS to watch Eubank get his hands wrapped. No big deal really but seems they’re doing everything to get under his skin. Not a classy thing to do.
-
I reckon you could have wrung Eubank like a dish cloth and you wouldn’t have got the 2oz he was over 160lb. It’s obvious that Benn’s camp are relying on Eubank’s being weight drained to tip things his way. End of the day no-one put a gun to Eubank’s head when he signed up to the weight and rehydration clause, but if he gets seriously hurt then it’ll be on more than him. Hearn’s acted like a bit of a prick the last few days and they all knew Eubank would struggle to make weight and the rehydration clause to me is fcuking reckless. No fan of Eubank but I hope he batters Benn.

Possibly my favourite and one of the best songs written in the 1980’s. They should be teaching this to our kids in the schools.

Edited to remove a ‘cheap shot’. Apologies. And I’m well aware that the people we see in office aren’t necessarily the ones who wield the power, but…, it doesn’t mean I have to believe everything I read on the internet. I bet you buy all the conspiracies don’t you? JFK, moon landings, Lord Lucan, 9/11, the covid reset, chem trails.., every single one of them?

You’ve started this thread as one big ‘I told you so’ but can’t provide a single shred of evidence that there’s something underhand or sinister going on. Our government are, in the main, a bunch of mealy mouthed self-serving bumbling fcuking incompetents.., but I’m also to believe that they’re actually operating as some sort of new world order illuminati, pulling strings and strokes on a massive scale, poisoning us en masse ffs.., and all without a single peep from a whistle blower? The problem with sitting in a darkened room on the internet all day and night smoking weed is that you’ll s

Quite a turn out.

I’ve read a few bits and pieces and from what I can gather governments are looking at a whole range of science and technology with which to slow climate change and in order to meet ‘net zero’ commitments. Solar radiation management is one of those options being explored. It’s a bit of a leap to suggest ‘the government’ are purposely using aircraft to spray the people and the land with chemicals with the intent of, amongst other things, involuntary vaccination, population control, global weather/climate manipulation to control/limit food production etc., which is often inferred by the chem-trai

I am…, apparently.
-
Another conspiracy…, smoking too much weed makes you paranoid? I can’t get my head round these conspiracy theories. I don’t doubt for a minute how devious and manipulative men can be or the lengths they’ll go to, but it’s the scale of some of these apparent deceptions I just can’t get to grips with.

Think 10 of the 32 in the tournament are rinky dinks. After years of hearing about it it looks like they’ve turned up in numbers. Sadly after years of being well represented, Scotland has only one in there and it might be his last. Plenty English and Welsh interest though. A bit of me would like to see O’Sullivan cement his GOAT legacy for the player he is, but for the person he’s become I wouldn’t mind him falling short again. I’ve bet Zhao Xintong.

Separate accounts. Same girl for 27 years and I pay for pretty much everything, including all the motors she’s driven. She pays to maintain/insure her car, her phone bill, and buys most of the shopping. What she has left she blows spectacularly on clothes, make-up and other absolute sh!te.., house is full of it! Cash burns a hole in her pocket till it’s gone. If we had a joint account I’d be fcukin pot-less by now.., or we’d have parted ways a long time ago.

There are 1,500,000,000 Indians. There are bound to be one or two that’ll try and over- charge a naive tourist, but surely you can’t tar them all with the same brush.
