Suppose that’s the crux of the issue though, it’s about choice as much as the debate on who gets to choose. If you choose to go on and be cared for until your body finally gives up, despite everything medical science can throw at it, then nobody should be able to prevent you. I see those frail old men, drooling at the mouth and sitting in their own piss, permanently confused and terrified look on their faces because they can’t remember who anyone is, or have a clue what’s going on around them.., a million miles from the men they were in their prime. I think fcuk that, I want the right to chec

Kinda getting a bit tired of being told over and over, multiple times a day, that I should be amazed that with just a few clicks I’ll be able to see all the car finance deals I’ve ever had.., and whether I’m owed some sort of compensation. I’ve never had a fcuking car finance deal!

Duncan Ferguson has a book out so doing the rounds on some of the podcast thingies. Type of player who probably wouldn’t fit with the style of play in the EPL now but was effective back in the day. Lifestyle and discipline maybe held him back a wee bit, but still a hero with the blue half of Liverpool. Be a handy lad to have by your side if you got into a bit of barney, but you maybe wouldn’t want him in your quiz team.

They did didn’t they? Come across that it’d be chaos trying to figure out what’s going on, but the lad with the fire extinguisher and the one in the grey who nearly copped it, seem to have seen them off. Wouldn’t mind a bit of context as to why it happened.., was it just to extort money or something else. Pretty shocking anyway.

From a personal perspective I wouldn’t want a child of mine to suffer, but like any parent I’d fight tooth and nail whilst there was still any hope. Difficult to quantify from your description of illness etc., but say my child drowned and was resuscitated with very little brain function, then I think it would be kinder to let them go. I don’t think you can describe that as ‘wanting them to die’ or as some sort of selfish act.., I believe it’s quite the opposite.

I just don’t see that message. The whole point in assisted dying to me is in bringing about a merciful end to a life which has lost all quality.., think later stages of cancer, MND, dementia etc. It’s nothing at all to do with disability as such. I know from past conversations on this that you talk from experience of nursing and losing someone, and believe also that you hold some strong Christian beliefs and so respect your opinions. But I also heard from a doctor, a man who’s signed the hypocratic oath to ‘do no harm’ who supports the right of people to choose not to suffer…, and he’ll

That people are allowed to die with a bit of dignity and not suffer an excruciating, painful and often lingering death.., and in the midst of all that have to witness the torment of their family (including children) and friends being forced to watch on helplessly, and knowing the trauma that they’ll be left with. We literally put animals out of their misery every day, but permit no such mercy to our loved ones. Some of the main arguments of the opposition and my take: 1. Disabled people ending their life as they feel guilt at being a burden. What’s to stop them taking their life wit

Significant moment tonight as the Scottish parliament votes in favour of assisted dying. Still a ways to go but hopefully this will ease the suffering of many. I’ve listened to a bit of the debate and don’t see the credibility in any of the argument for opposing this bill. MSPs at Holyrood back Scotland's assisted dying bill with 14 vote majority WWW.BBC.CO.UK Following an emotional debate the vote on the general principles of...

Family day out in the sun. What life is all about.

Which is ridiculous in my opinion. I think the abuse of vulnerable kids was rife across society and existed anywhere there was opportunity, in schools, children’s homes, churches, all manner of sports and activities.., blind eyes turned in all of them. The BBC with the fame and stardust of some of its staff provided opportunity, but I don’t subscribe to the notion that it was/is one big enabling ring. Things are seldom black and white, and I reckon there’ll be good people caught up in all this historical stuff take guilt to their grave that they should have seen or said something. Said before

The David Jason rumours have been around over a decade now, and not sure there’s ever actually been any allegation or investigation. It’d be a shame if they turned out to have any substance. Nothing tends to surprise me now though. As said, this stuff finds fuel with the gossip-mongers and ambulance chasers in Facebook and the like.., and there seems to be no recourse for the insinuations and slurs made against individuals. I don’t do FB etc. but I believe the law is quick to jump all over people making comments that might be construed as racist, sexist, homophobic etc., but no help to anyon

RIP. Always enjoyed reading his stuff. He’d probably forgotten more about hunting rabbits than many now will ever learn.

Look like a pair of weirdos who couldn’t get a ride if they fell into a barrel of fannies. I’d definitely be checking their hard drives too. It’s vandalism at the end of the day, and as such a bit of a fcuk you to the rest of society. But its also a tree, not sure how a court could hand down a lengthy custodial sentence when the won’t jail scumbags caught with thousands of sick images of kids. The world has gone mad.

To be fair it’s a while since I’ve done it. Don’t the budget airlines still have cheap seats if you book early enough?

Not buying whisky casks. I remember lads at work going on about this as a sure thing a couple of years ago..,reckon a good few have lost out in this scam. Decent watch this actually. Depends what you’re after. I’ve booked everything separate rather than a package a few times. Found flights sometimes cheaper.., and used AirBnB accommodation.

Maybe if they weren’t taking huge bungs to lose matches…?

300,000 snooker halls in China, and now with their first world champion it’ll likely explode in popularity!
-
To be fair, Trump was poor but he’ll come again. Long term China is the future of snooker. The ‘class of ‘92’ grew up watching snooker in its hey-day in the ‘80’s. And the likes of Selby, Trump etc. had Hendry to look up to when they all practised down the local snooker club in the 90’s. A lot of the snooker clubs are long gone, or they’re full of pool tables now. Not many kids could tell you what snooker is. Think within 10 years you’ll be lucky if there’s two Brits in the top 16.., and Trump might be one of them. Sad really.

No offence but he’s hardly a riveting watch. And surely if you’re going to live like that you’ve got to have your admin sorted.., and a waterproof tent is number one on the list. Good luck to him I say, hopefully he’s living his dream.

Looking ominous for Williams. 7-1 down and Xintong hasn’t even got started yet.

Looks like the ginger whinger is trying to plot a route back. He really is a dirty little weasel and his family are well rid. Can’t stand the whole lot of them but can sympathise after the utter treachery of the Oprah thing and the book. All that money and privilege and he’s still as thick as two short planks. Prince Harry's emotional avalanche hits the Royal Family WWW.BBC.CO.UK The prince's BBC interview is first-hand confirmation of the scale of the royal rift...

Ronnie has had a new cue built with a titanium rather than brass ferrule. Apparently not as forgiving if you get a bit of ‘unwanted’ side. Only watched a few frames this morning but he was missing balls off their spots and seemed to have no control of the white. Totally out of sorts.
-
New cue and he can’t play with it. He’d be better binning it and trying something else.
