Eubank v Benn II. Wasn’t fussy for it first time but admit it was a good fight to watch, and so will watch the second. Why though does it need to have all these ‘pressers’ in the build up, with the bickering and the insults. Hearn has been selling every bleeding fight like this for years, and a lot of it is turd polishing and trying to pass fights off as diamonds. I gave him 1 & 2. One judge thought the same, one gave him only round 2 and the third gave him 2 & 3. End of the day the result was fair. To win a rematch Canelo would need to bring something different, and I don’t think he has anything more at this stage. Kellerman made a dick of it, pre-fight he made a statement that Crawford needed to beat Canelo to have any sort of legacy, then I think needed to make up for it by blowing smoke up his arse. Agree, think the guy Netflix had scoring gave Crawford 5 of the first 6, including rounds 1-3. I had them 2-1 Canelo. Just felt Crawford gave him respect early on but as the fight wore on he was able to use his boxing to control the distance, limiting how effective Canelo’s punching could be. He even stood and traded at times and gave as good as he got…, but the styles and tactics didn’t make it a great spectacle. I might have had it 115-113, so no complaints over the scoring.

Watched a couple of this guys bike reno/rebuild videos. This one he gets hold of his Dad’s old hog so has a bit of a back story. I wouldn’t know where to start with an old banger of a bike like that, but nice to watch someone who does.

From a different era. 83 pro fights in 23 years, granted not all against high ranking opponents, but compare that to some of todays elite boxers who want a defence every 18 months. RIP

Did his farewell gig just over a fortnight ago with support from a load of legends from that scene. Maybe makes even more sense if they knew this was round the corner? Not my thing, but hats off to living the life of a true rock icon. RIP

Same. Think most fighters need that ‘last’ fight that’ll let them know that they can’t quite hit the same levels anymore. Usyk seems a decent and pretty humble bloke, I’d like to see him win this and call it a day.

I remember a series of BBC documentaries on ‘Extreme Lives’ where they followed an English guy called Adrian Nicholas who was developing a wing suit, and who claimed was the invention of his recently deceased French mate, one Patrick de Gayardon. Nicholas died shortly after, both having died in jumping accidents involving wing suits. The evolution and application if these suits is absolutely incredible now but seems a great many of those who push the boundaries come up against them eventually.., and at great speed. Saw a thing about it the other day. Don’t remember ‘76, but one year in the ‘80’s there was an infestation of them.., seemed to follow after few weeks where there were clouds of greenfly around every bush or tree.

Had one in a bird box a few years back but a bit too close to where the kids played. Waited until late evening and they were all home and took a 3m length of 15mm plastic pipe and filled the end with ant powder and blew it into the box. Worked a treat.

Used to, same as buying the Big Issue. Hardly give anything now unless it’s someone who genuinely looks like they deserve a hand. Half the country would deem you racist if you complained about the gangs of Romanian ‘professional’ beggars up and down the country. Utter fcuking madness!
