All illegal immigrants should be politely asked to leave..., and forcibly ejected if they refuse. The process of application for political asylum should be fast tracking, and resolved within days and unsuccesful applicants returned to their country of origin. Max, I agree that we need some 'radical' change in Britain..., and also to the way all our lives are inluenced by Europe. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn! Neither this petition nor this thread are a 'potential solution' to anything. Fact. I might take this as a serious expression if it had 25 million signatures..., not the 'X's of a few narrow minded bigots. Even then it probably still wouldn't actually achieve anything. Should rustle up a few more signatures on here though with the THL/BNP/NF/UKIP faithful. Post the final score when the petition closes in March though won't you. If this is a war, then the muslim policeman Ahmed Merabet surely chose his side. And it wasn't the side of his extremist muslim 'brethren', but the side of decent law abiding French citizens everywhere, regardless of their colour or creed. Watched the Fantasy Football thingy the other week where a panel of Matt le Tissier, Paul Merson, Phil Thompson & Charlie Nicholas picked an all time Premiership eleven. Scholes & Lampard were quoted for midfield but they went in the end with Gerrard & Viera. In the end it's all down to 'what you like' but for me I'd have Gerrard as one of my first picks in that team..., but maybe alongside Keano!

The standard of darts in the PDC is streets ahead of the BDO. I won't even watch the BDO final although it'll probably be a decent enough quality game. I'm surprised that the BBC have persevered with darts and wonder how much longer they will continue to show the 'world championships'. For me it's more than just the quality of darts on show as well, it's the whole package. The last time I tuned in it was that dick Colin Murray & Bobby 'stuck in the 1980's' George. I think she got that part right.....I certainly wouldn't want somebody from another country coming to scotland with Ebola. Not wanting a confirmed ebola case transferred to your country for treatment..., understandable if a bit irrational considering how the woman was actually transferred. The decision to transfer the patient wouldn't have been made by 'sweaty Glaswegians' from 'Jocksville' however, it was most likely part of a pre-determined DoH strategy to contain and treat any ebola cases turning up in the UK, so her comments were a bit wide of the mark in terms of 'who to blame'.

Probably the most 'complete' football player I've ever seen 'in the flesh', and for me easily the best English player of his generation. There'll always be a 'what if' aspect to his legacy because of his lack of medals...., medals he probably would have won if he'd gone to Chelsea or Real Madrid etc. but that for me also makes his loyalty to his club & his city even more special.
