Funny that the same people that can see that Europe didn’t work for the UK can’t accept Scots who think that the union isn’t working for them. I’m not pro-indy btw but the irony isn’t lost on me either.

Independence for Scotland naturally divides opinion, and so Salmond wouldn’t appeal to everyone. What I would say is that he came across to me as a man of integrity, with a vision and determination to deliver to his country what he believed was best for them. A type sadly lacking at the top end of UK politics.

Good that. “Only fish ladder in the UK with a window” so hasn’t heard of the one that’s been at Pitlochry for decades. Seen a few salmon, trout and eels at Pitlochry…, no sturgeons or otters yet! It also has a fish counter which keeps an annual tally of the number of salmon which run up it.
