It’s a travesty that charities are operated, or allowed to be operated the way they are now. Taking the piss out of the generosity of others. They must be suffering now too as we go more cashless. I must’ve dropped hundreds into collection tins behind shop counters and bars down the years. Haven’t done much of that the last few years. Food banks seem a good way to donate straight to those that need…, and to local people too, Was chatting about them at work a few weeks ago with a guy, and he then decided to send out a site wide appeal for donations. He delivered what was donated to a local fo

See, now that’s how I’d take a pen. Dicks should be in the England coaching set up as a penalty specialist. Seen Spain and Japan go out with a whimper, with the most limp wristed pens I can remember. Burst the net or knock some cnut out at the back of the goals…, nothing else for it ?

How much was he offering? ?

Bit like a lot of the popular conspiracy theories this debate. Is it possible that they exist - yes. Is it probable - definitely not. But those that try and convince us of the highly improbable, present nothing in the way of credible evidence, but then also have the audacity to expect the sceptics to present evidence to prove they’re right. No wonder people think they’re mental.

Think you’re missing my point. All your speculation means zilch to me…, in one ear out the other. Fury needs to prove he’s the best by taking the belts from Usyk, and then maybe Joshua to back up all his boasting. Based on what’s gone before, I think he’ll avoid both. Hope I’m wrong. Edited to add, you have the last word if you like chief. I’m sick to death of talking about fights that won’t happen.

Didn’t see it.. did the ref actually ‘beg’ the corner, or are you exaggerating? Common/good practice for a ref to check on the corner of a fighter getting a hiding, and even warn them it’ll be stopped unless the fighter looks capable of turning it around. Usyk has a great record, but only a handful of bouts at HW…, so hardly an ‘all time great’…, but I don’t believe anyone called him that? So Chisora took him 12 rounds in his 2nd fight at the weight? Top Trumps. Chisora took Fury the distance in his 15th. Still think both Usyk and AJ would be stiffer opposition than a 38 year old Chisora

I’m not having that. Tyson Fury is the world champion ffs, not a walking charity. Chisora doesn’t, or shouldn’t need the money. And he was so far off the level required, he could have been badly hurt.., so I can’t see how this was doing Chisora a favour. Another case of rubbish hyped as a genuine and valid contest to part fools from their money, nothing else.
-
Come on now, I know you’re a big Fury fan and that’s fine. But crowing about this win? Fury retired Chisora on his stool eight years ago, having beat him once previously. There was no glory in what Fury did to a now 38 year old Chisora last night. Fight went precisely how me and most others predicted it would. A non event.

If not the greatest, definitely right up there. Not trying to usher him out the door, but it might be timely if he went before the end of the tournament, and let football, and in particular the world cup give him a proper tribute and send off. Only man to win it three times.
-
I’d vote for him.

Firstly, I think too much is made about the whole ‘backyard’ thing. Fury had fans in Germany, it wasn’t exactly Rocky IV. Secondly, and it’s just my opinion, AJ got his first world strap easy, but remember it was only his 16th pro fight. Since then I think most of his fights have been against genuine & ranked opponents. Fury fans bemoan the stripping of the IBF belt, but that’s the world of boxing and fighting mandatories v’s honouring rematch clauses etc. People conveniently forget the positive test and ban which ensured Fury was out the picture anyway. That was on him. Mayweath

He does love a lock button ?

Fury has had five world title fights.., five, and three of those were against the same opponent! Fury didn’t achieve greatness beating Wilder, he only proved Wilder was the fraud we all suspected. Dillian Whyte deserved a shot, but AJ, Povetkin, even Chisora had shown us Whyte would struggle at the highest level. Then there have been a smattering of bums in ‘warm up’ fights. I don’t dislike Fury, but there’s a lot of talk comes out of him and his camp, and the pedigree just doesn’t back up the boasting. When all’s said and done I’ll judge his standing in the sport on who he fought and beat, bu

Wouldn’t have minded a tenner on Japan to have beat both the Germans and Spanish to top the group.

Why should I present facts to discredit a conspiracy? Are you seriously trying to tell me someone is ‘making’ rain over the UK? Who and why? Most of the ‘mainline’ conspiracy theories I listed, would have required literally thousands of people to have been complicit in the subterfuge. Not saying governments, and especially where national security is concerned, don’t have secrets, but some of the claims I’ve heard are fanciful…, and are often made by people who spend a lot of time indoors, smoking dope, and on the internet. My instinct on a lot of this stuff is based on what I’ve learned
-
If it was an effective way to make significant amounts of rain, then wouldn’t we see it used regularly to fight or stop the spread of wild fires? Fires in the last few years in California for example, that have cost dozens of lives, tens of $billions and scorched millions of acres. Don’t know what it is about some people, they love to believe that we’re all being lied to and manipulated on an industrial scale by governments, or even darker forces. Take the 9/11, moon landings and Area 51 conspiracies, there may be some stuff where we struggle to find or understand answers, even some substance

Fought that horrible disease with great courage, and done great work to raise money for MND research. RIP big man.

Fair enough, it’s been done in war, albeit about 50 years ago. From what I can see, and limited scientific knowledge, it doesn’t actually ‘make’ rain, but in the right climatic conditions can cause localised precipitation which I guess could be useful, but is probably as much if not more use as a propaganda tool. The science I can’t dispute, but I think from the original post and others following, the inference is that this weather manipulation is done routinely and surreptitiously by unseen forces. I just don’t buy that.
-
Have you any examples or proof of when it was deliberately used for any of the above?
-
They? Who’s controlling who’s weather…, and why?

I like Joe Rogan, but he smokes a good bit of weed, which (imo) makes him a bit prone to buying into the odd conspiracy theory or two ?

Useless Geordies canna even work a TV remote. Put me in mind of watching Scotland v Italy in a Euros play off in a boozer where the projector screen collapsed mid-way through the first half…, thought there was going to be a riot…, when they put it back up ?

The whole furore about the can they/can’t they wear a rainbow armband, Joe Lycett ‘shredding’ 10 grand, the endless talk of who is and who isn’t doing enough to highlight the intolerance of homosexuality in Qatar, John Fashanu getting dogs abuse for swimming against the tide…, etc., etc., etc., and it’s all for what exactly? The Qataris, and arabs in general care not a single fcuking iota about what the West think about their morality, laws and the way they run their society. In fact all this nonsense will only create resentment and serve to strengthen their resolve and belief in their ow

Was once the way in football as in many sports. Sport was about unifying people, being able to set aside the differences of nation politics, even wars. Now money talks loudest, broadcasters and sponsors virtue signalling desperately to protect the brand image, and show that they’re inclusive of everyone regardless of race, religion, sexuality etc., and not because they care that much, but because criticism that they don’t, might hit them in the pocket. I didn’t watch it, but heard England took the knee last night and the USA didn’t? A gesture started after a black American was killed duri
