  1. Yep , that's me. I don't go without a single thing these days , but nothing I have comes from my wages , every penny of that goes into the family pot(even though my kids are grown up). Everything that I have , is either bought for me by the Mrs and kids (they really spoil me) , or bought with cash I make from buying and selling, or from selling craft things that I make.
  2. ??????????. I'm laughing because you're bang on the money ?.
  3. That's very true ? . My problem is that I'm very comfortable these days , but in the past , I've gone to bed very hungry way too many times . Its the thought of those bad old days , that has always pushed me to work hard and make money , and look after my wife and kids . The thought of ending up back in that situation, stops me from taking risks.?
  4. I've seen the same . I'd guess that some of them are perfectly legit , and others are just chancing their arm at getting planning permission, and some are just living the dream. I know that in the past , it was quite a common thing for people to buy a small/cheap plot of grazing land , then throw a couple of , donkeys, horses, llamas, alpacas, on there , then put a caravan on there , as they need security, then apply for planning permission for a permanent residence, then sell the land with planning permission, or build the house and sell it. I believe that although it can still b
  5. Drink it from your sweaty boot . It'll taste better than drinking it from a paper cup ??.
  6. I was a member of moochers years ago. They had a member that was an anti . The difference of opinions was always very, open , honest , and , polite . Because of that , it was always very interesting to hear the views and opinions from the other side , even though I rarely agreed with them.
  7. North Wales is a beautiful part of the country . We looked at a few pieces of woodland up that way before I bought my little plot , a bit closer to home. Living off grid doesn't have to be rough ( unless you prefer it that way) . Just a little bit of forward planning, and extra graft , and you can be pretty comfortable. I'd guess that keeping cattle might be a bit more challenging, but as long as you don't mind the extra effort, it would be great. We rarely stay at our woodland for more than a long weekend , maybe a week at a push , but I'd love to try living off grid . Seve
  8. 83 acres is a cracking piece of land to dissappear into . You can manage quite well without mains electricity or water , just as long as youre sensible, don't mind putting a bit of graft in , and limit your expectations slightly. ?
  9. As a kid , I would have climbed to the top of that tree in the blink of an eye , but , as a 54 year old , I'd piss my pants just watching someone else climbing it ?. I wouldn't mind the firewood though ?.
  10. Now that's a proper days graft . I couldn’t work at that height for a million quid ?
  11. Paulus has already said that they can both come back whenever they want . All they have to do is behave like grownups. ?
  12. Give it time buddy. Some stuff just takes longer.
  13. I think I'd be tempted to try one on the camp fire ?.
  14. Do you have rattlesnakes in your part of the country ?, and is it legal to kill and eat them ?.
  15. Do you ever eat snake RS ?. I've always fancied trying rattlesnake.
  16. You certainly put the graft in ?.
  17. I've never been a fan of corned beef stew , but I looked at that pic , and could have just eaten it ?. Funnily enough, It was my old man's favourite meal.
  18. Yeah , but I'm looking at it , and thinking , I could just eat that ? .
  19. Very striking indeed mate . I've never seen one before. That garter snake was pretty impressive as well ?.
  20. Fantastic pics mack ?. That Finch is stunning. Where are you ?.
  21. I was far too polite to mention that ?. It's a real shame that were so restricted in this country , but once you dig a little deeper, it's very understandable why regs can sometimes seem quite strict. Some of the history of planning regs can be very interesting . I remember reading that in the past , a shed in a woodland, could sometimes be classed as a caravan. It was due to men coming home from war . Some of the returning soldiers had lost their homes and families ( bombing raids etc). And they could get a job on a farm , and live in a shed on the farm , and the shed could be cl
  22. Fat fecker is my normal ?. I come from a long line of fat feckers ?.
  23. I'm a right fat fecker , and I can only see the last six inches of my dick these days?. I love a proper big breakfast , but it just makes me want to sleep ( not very good when you're driving a lorry ?), so all I have for breakfast is one slice of wholemeal toast ?.
  24. You on a health kick DC ?.
