    I've asked two caravan gas guys , one said yes it's fine , and one said no its not , but neither one could really give me an answer why. I think I've just stumbled across the right answer , by asking Google a slightly different question . It seems that decent heaters(ones with oxygen depletion cut out)are all made to a standard for using lpg , and either propane or butane will be fine . Just keep propane bottles outside , don't sleep with the heater on , and use two reliable carbon monoxide alarms.     . This was my thoughts on it to be honest . The boiling point of propane is lower , so I could run a heater off my large propane bottle that sits outside , and I wouldn't have the bother of different bottles, and it getting too cold to use the heater . I just don't want to get it wrong , and gas us , or , blow us up .

    Cheers Arry. From what I can see , it should be fine ( and burn a little bit hotter) , but it would be inside a caravan, so I need to be sure before I do it. Some people say that the jets in the heater need to be changed , and other folks say that they should be fine. Other folks say that the pressure would be too high from propane , but others say that that's what the regulator takes care of. I've found a propane/butane heater , but it comes with a butane regulator, and I can't get an answer from the manufacturer, to tell me that it's safe to change the regulator .

    Hiya guys . Does anyone have any real life experience of running a butane heater , on propane gas. I've been trawling the Web for weeks , and can't get a definite answer. Just lots and lots of opinions .
