  1. Ok, how will I measure to know which oal is perfect for my gun? Also the powder measure I wanted was the Lee perfect powder measure with a trickler and a mtm scales. I watched a video on YouTube last night and the guy was just using a different powder measure, looked like rcbs but he wasn't trickling the powder nor weighing the powder for each case. My mentor weighed each charge for each case one by one. Which is best? And what difference in £? Thanks
  2. Hi, I'm just about ready to set up the bench for reloading my 223. I have the dies/presses etc, I've gathered what eat die does and how to install it into the press. I've read the lee reloading bible twice, and am using it for reference. What I'm stuck with is the measurements of how to seat the primer, how to seat the bullet, what should o/a length be? Thanks
  3. Yes, because you measure the powder so it's grain-accurate therefore the powder in each bullet you make will be consistent. Making your ammo bang accurate
  4. Does it have to be 243? I have plenty of 223 Thanks
  5. Another question is - Does expanding ammo (bullet heads) go down on my certificate? Thanks
  6. I have one in red, great service, quick postage. Range isn't amazing compared to my 170 lightforce with amber filter, but for the price and ease of use it's great. Anybody use these on centrefire? Thanks
  7. So, for example if I wanted 55gr hollow point/ 50gr ballistic tip and 55gr ballistic tip (bullet heads only). They come in boxes of 100 - therefore I could justify buying say 100 at a time, or 150 if i wanted some factory ammo at the same time And be able to hold ??? how many would be justifiable??? 400?? because expanding heads are classed as 'live'?? In real life I may only reload 20 of 50gr ballistics before deciding my gun doesn't like that weight. Which would leave me with the remaining bullets to be passed on/sold. Is selling them even allowed? Me selling surplus heads to someo
  8. Are they online? Can't seem to find them. Thanks
  9. Thanks - What about the fact that I've been reloading and using up that ammo that I made with my mentor? Will that be considered naughty? Thanks

  13. How much £ should I expect to pay? I'm the type of person who likes a bargain, but buy quality. I'd like an £800 scope for £200 - hard to come by I know. Also what does 30/30 mean? What type of recticle should I go for? Thanks
  14. What do you suggest I should set my budget at? Should I look second hand? Hawke / Bushnell / Nikko Stirling any good? Thanks
  15. Thanks for the replies. Was offered a decent sounding scope for little money. Deben 10-50x56. Think there is profit to be made still on eBay, but will leave it as I can't be bothered with the hassle Thanks for advice. What scope do you guys choose for your foxing centrefires? I have 223. I don't want to pay silly money either.
  16. Anybody have any suggestions about the ideal magnification for a foxing 223? Would be foxing at night with a lamp. Is it best to get fixed i.e.8x56 or something like 10-50x56? Thanks
  17. Thought it was a bit much, the only thing is the gun shop is only a 4 minute drive from home, only one around here, unless I travel 60+ miles. I don't like the man at the gun shop but that's life Thanks
  18. Been to the gun shop - Predator 8 compact being fitted. £250 for mod, but extra £10/£20 for fitting Thanks

  20. Interested in Dan Pends scope, but open to what others have available. Thanks. Budget up to , but not limited to £200. Tell me what you've got. Thanks
  21. The p12 is only £20 more than a p8. Compact and normal are same price? Would I be better off just getting a p12 for the sake of £20? Or is there such a possibility to over-moderate a .223? Thanks - may be off to the rfd this morning
