  1. +1 for compoundarcher rifle lamps. Good for about 150 yds, picks out eyes slightly further.
  2. Have a 4 gun cabinet for sale, twin lock, no ammo box. Good condition, 2 sets of keys. Hinged door opening. FAC approved £100 ono - nr Lampeter, West Wales
  3. Don't want to spend a huge amount. £200 maybe for the tool I think is best suited. I'd like to stay away from springers. How good are the ones which come with a manual stirrup pump? How many shots from a fill? Would also want to stay away from divers bottles as it seems an unwanted cost - unless someone tells me different. Thanks
  4. Anything considered. To cure a rat problem in a barn and sheds. Thanks
  5. Ahhh yes, I have seen the scoops/dippers. Thanks
  6. When you say Lee powder scope, what do you mean? Thanks
  7. Hi does anybody have these two dippers lying around? I would be happy to buy them off you. Thanks
  8. Hi all Do you measure your powder by weight or volume? The Lee manual says volume, others say weight. For my needs I would need the Lee dipper 1.6 and 1.9 - depending on my chosen bullet weight. If anybody has these lying around I would be more than willing to buy them off you. I also need a scales if anybody has one? Let me know what you have. Back to my question of weight vs volume - what have you found is the best way to measure the powder. I will be reloading the 223 Thanks
  9. No not sure if I mean scope. I mean one with a pot on top to hold powder, then it measures the powder, has a lever to pull down to empty the measuring chamber into either the funnel, the bullet or the dish for the scales. Lee make one called the Lee perfect powder measure. I know I need scales but can I get away with just scales or do I need this thing to actually measure powder by quantity before weighing it. Essentially I could use anything to tip the powder from the tub to the scales. A teaspoon, empty bullet case, lots of things would do, but would be very time consuming. I'm
  10. Ok, thanks for popping the items in the post, greatly appreciated. Do I need to get a powder measure and a powder scale? Or will one of the two suffice? Thanks
  11. Do you guys weigh the case as well as the powder? What is the point in this? Dave1372 explains how the poi changed when he used two different make of brass, how would different cases do that? Even if both had exactly the same powder weight and exact same primer and bullet head? Thanks. I am still undecided as to which scale to get. Will I also need a trickler/dribbler? Will I need a powder measure like the lee perfect powder measure? Thanks again
  12. Powder funnel? Ammo boxes? Actual bench to bolt my presses onto? Thanks
  13. My 17hmr cz was giving me grief - barrel was touching the stock down one side, took it apart, sanded it down, varnish, put it back together. Its now shooting 1 hole groups out to 100yds. Wouldn't have bothered otherwise, but glad I did because it was driving me insane. Thanks
  14. Anyone selling reloading equipment. Powder scales? Powder trickler? Case neck brush? Flash hole brush? Case lube and/or pad? Loading trays? Shell holder? Anything considered for .223 Thanks
  15. Any reason for choosing rcbs deburrer over the Lee? I did watch a couple of videos just now. My fired cases are shorter than the stated minimum case length??? By about .2mm - does it matter? Thanks
  16. Ok, got a vernier caliper today. Been messing about measuring the homeloads that the previous owner loaded for my gun, measuring fired cases and factory ammo. There is quite a difference between the oal of my homeloads and the max oal stated in the manual. Any reason for this? I think the homeloads I got with the gun are measuring shorter than the stated min oal for the particular powder/bullet combo.
  17. Ok, thanks, will pm you my address. Just out of interest what do you use instead of Lee chamfer and primer cleaner? Thanks
  18. I got loads of stuff when I bought my gun - guy was packing it in. 4 tubs of powder, 300 cases, 2000 primers, 500 fmj, dies include lyman neck size, Lee neck size, Lee disc auto primer, Lee bullet seating die, Lee factory crimp die, reloading trays, 2 Lee presses, spare 4 die collet, Lyman case trimmer, thats it I think ... Also have Lyman bullet casting kit which I doubt I'll ever use. So I got all the expensive kit, just need bits n bobs like Lee chamfer tool, Lee primer pocket cleaner, flash hole de burring tool. Powder scale and trickler, case lube. Anything else anybody can sugge
  19. Ok, why a beam scale as opposed to something like mtm digital? I will be reloading for hunting. What scales do people use and recommend? Not too much £s either. Thanks
  20. I'm annoyed by it, the fact that we agreed on one, and he fitted another. I'll just show my annoyance by not going back there. It doesn't really make a difference, only it's longer, has 10 baffles and is probably slightly heavier than p8 compact. I don't want to make a fuss, but I am annoyed. It looks huge, but I'll put up with it because both have the same functionality, weight is irrelevant because I'll never take a free standing shot.
  21. Just got my gun back, took longer than expected, cost a total of £225 fitted - but turns out he's only gone and put a wildcat evolution on it, instead of the p8 compact we agreed on. Bloody typical.
