    I agree, Before my first springer my best to date was a 9lb 4oz sea trout took on a black flying c and what a fight. I can imagine the stick they must give you on the fly!

    Cheers for the input Mik, I'm heading upto my local angling center through the week so I'll have a look and see what's about. I usually fish the worm for salmon on my local water, But looking for a bit of a change. Apart from stockie bashing fishing the fly on large rivers is all new to me Cheers,

    I'm looking to do a bit of night fishing for sea trout this year on the fly. I'm looking to get myself a new outfit for the job but not to sure where to start? I was thinking along the lines of a 10ft 8# rod with an intermediate line with a sinking tip. Any advice appreciated? Tight lines.

    Thought i would drop in and say "hello". Been around lurchers for years and love the game. Mainly a lamping man but have the odd daytime or ferreting trip. Looking forward to reading about your days & nights out.
