I can usually get mine sighted in in around 10 minutes without one, Just fire a pellet at 15 yards into a large target, adjust to get nearer the centre, Move back 5 yards repeat, Once your at your chosen range fire a 5 round group and make fine adjustments then repeat this till its on

Havent had any trouble with my r-10, used my mates regal the other day and that was lovely aswell, Pretty difficult to go wrong with any of them just depends which you like the feel of etc

When I was last at my local RFD a chap was collecting a .17HMR and a brick of ammo courtesy of hornady because a round detonated and blew the bolt out the back
