He's a nz huntaway mate, not as fast as a lurcher he's my cattle dog during the week but loves rabbits too quite good on the lamp but by wouldn't put him against a proper running dog

that's about all there is too say, I have one like yours she is coming on tho and getting better and better but if she's just bolted a rabbit she goes silly for a few mins, if its a dead bury she is OK I know this as I run my older ferrets thru after but if nothing bolts and she comes out going loopy..... Older ferret goes in and out comes the spade I'm patient with her because she is so young and a stop end rabbit is still too much for her, can't wait for next season with her tho, just be patient itl pay off in the end

Managed to get everyone to mine for 7.30 for coffee (except Dan the coffee hater) and the day begun, I only acquired this perm on Friday and was briefly shown around by the owners wife and Bernard the grounds keeper had a good grizzle about where they would be so I had a rough idea, we got there decided a gentle warm up was a good plan(I had a late night) set the long nets up around a big oak tree and in 5 mins 2 in the bag, next we attempted a small ground bury but it was full of water, we next did a bank of about 10 holes which produced 2, another small ground bury so chucked the long net up

The conditions are about as bad as it gets, blazing full moon and a hard frost on wet ground making walking quietly impossible, did get 2 rabbits tho and couldnt believe my luck, i shot the first at a good 40 yards his mate sitting about 2 yards beside him ducked for cover then sat up again instantly so took him aswell, very happy with the new light but after an hour it was all getting heavy so turned for home

Another 7 ferrals with the mighty s410 bought a new lamp yesterday so I'm waiting for the cloud to build a bit then I'm of lamping. Its a deben ledray 1000 with a beam tightener on it a little heavy but a nice piece of kit
