  1. I'd love to see it, a local guy years ago used to fly a hawk and I really enjoyed watching him, If you would like to come fly your hawk whilst I ferret rabbits out for you I'd appreciate it as would love to see it, you would have to tell me how much space they need etc but I'm sure there is something suitable here
  2. Like was said above only takes a few arseholes to ruin it and give Ferreter's a bad rep eh, trespassing and poaching
  3. Well, finished work this morning at 10.30 and it was still hammering down, nearly got the 410 and set up to do some dove shooting in the barns but thought bugger it I'm going anyway. My boss had mentioned that some of the off ground at ******** may be worth a try, so I loaded up jack (nz hunt a way) and Charlie(springer) and the ferts of coarse,I left my youngest gill at home because she's still a bit flighty and I had no idea of what ground I was about to do as iv never been there ferreting before, the ground was wet! New drilled beans one side and a horse paddok the other and full of holes r

  11. Hi all, I'm about to buy a ns50, but I have a couple of questions aimed at those who have it or have had it, If it's not quite what I'm expecting it to be can I upgrade the iluminator or is there anything else I can do, what genuine ranges do you get from yours? Bearing in mind hunting conditions are usually far from perfect lol also do you still use a lamp to see across the field or just walk with the device on and see short distance In front of you? Or is the ns200 worth the extra money? Tia
  12. Launceston you say, I used to ferret around there until I moved up country, try giving dave prouse a call he has ground there il pm you his details
  13. Funnily enough my bugger was doing that on Saturday, it was after I had replaced the battery's, I unscrewed it took them back out gave them a rub and cleaned all the contacts in there and away it went, its always turned on and off easier using the little key they come with the so maybe the magnet in there is slightly stronger than the receiver one
  14. But in my opinion nothing catches better when in perfect conditions lol
  15. My springer is pretty good too, when its just me te huntaway and the springer its a good combo
