I have noticed rapids seem to have longish barrels is there a reason? Oh and that looks like it is going to be an absolute pleasure to shoot...

Hard to argue with this! But seriously Mac is right,take him to the guns and let him shoulder a few,see which he gets on with then you make the call on selecting the best of those,or as a last resort sort of option could you buy a cheap or used rifle and cut the stock down a bit??

Accupell seem pretty good in everything I've owned,currently on h&n ftt in a hw100 so rate them,super domes are good I've been told by friends who use them,best answer to this question is generally try a few and see which group best,happy testing... Oh and as a sidetrack, what happened to eley wasps??? They were good weren't they...

I shoot them all year round,just depends on how many are about for how many I shoot as I don't have too much permission,well none of my own at the minute,so take enough to keep the numbers down but not enough so I've nothing to back for,keeps the owner happy as he see's bodies leaving the land and me happy as I've some for myself and ferrets...

Good shooting and just what another thread is getting into about controlling numbers not wiping them out,enough for the pot and ferrets has been my motto for some time now, mostly due to there being less stuff about so only take what I need and the landowners and farmers are generally happy with some being gotten rid of...

After a quick google,on rimfire though,it sounds like the minimum barrel length is 12" and overall minimum length of 24" by law,for a rifle,look at .22 barrel shortening on the stalking directory...
