    Another well prepared and worthwhile session there mark,with the effort you put in each trip must be satisfying whatever the end numbers,5 in a few hours is a fair result but would of liked some pics of your set up though!

    Good topic,got me thinking of the wonderful,beautiful and funny things I've seen,my missed it moment is when fishing out near Rutland and an osprey came over,circled a few times then dove into the lake about 50 yards from me,made a huge splash then took off out the lake with a fish in its grasp to fly away leaving us all like,did you see that?,magic...

    Nice to see a promising end for your efforts,makes it all seem worth it now I bet? Cleaning feeders is easy,don't have to stalk them or anything! Keep at it and the pics and write ups coming...

    I know what it's like Mac,I meant to rez as he used the boring description in the op,I like the banter,keeps things light,you know? I'm surprised you didn't take the rise more as he dared to go and use a .177!! (It is a .177 isn't it?)

    Sounds good all round,its nice to be able to help when you can,even better when it's by doing something like let someone on your perm or work with them in Spain!

    Isn't it an offence for anyone to obstruct you,as the path is to allow access across the land,nothing more?

    Must of been a bit annoying waiting and preparing then it chucks it down! Still a dozen in four hours of difficult conditions is good,if you get out next sat with good weather could be big numbers??

    They are defo worth a try and I would recommend them for this type of shooting,used to do it on a golf course while it was still being developed,lay in the grass where the fairway met the rough with a camo net out and rest on a bag or some rolled up net and got on really well,then bought a bipod and got on even better,nice write up and hope the young un gets on with the x20...

    That from jsr looks the part,easy on/off and extendable at £15? Looks a bargain and I have a deben that cost three times the amount and is fiddly to get on and off and doesn't fit the profile of my stock that great...

    Interesting one this,never really noticed anything more than animals sitting tight,like all pulled in to conserve heat I guess,and they don't seem quite as alert somehow like they won't move unless they have to,I suppose predators don't like it out in crap weather either?

    Don't know what did of deal you should expect just wanted to comment on how nice that stock looks and wondered why you can't get on with it as there is a scoop cut out to allow a thumbs up position?
