  1. Thanks Geordieboy, much appreciated mate! I was up passed 1 this morning/ last night, pain the the butt! Thanks Daz! Haha, yeah I did think the same, but hey ho, consider the written warning the last line of defence! Yeah I was so chuffed with that little hat-trick, just goes to show how being downwind effects noise travel Thanks mate. It's not easy I won't lie. It really comes down to practice to get good. I know that an average rabbit's ear (3") is 2 mil dot @ 30 yards @ x7 mag. The less mil dots, the further it is etc etc Setting rabbit targets out at 20-30-40-50 y
  2. Thanks chaps, much appreciated! Hi mate, I use an Angel Eye DVR. I recommend getting one that takes a normal size SD card. 2 mates have had trouble with the ones that take a `TF` card Thanks for the heads up mate but they won't get my facebook details from the videos and besides, the last thing I would do is change my activities because of a bunch of ignorant morons who don't like my pastime. I'm too busy protecting the crops from vermin, ensuring the antis have their veggie option at Christmas lunch, all at a reasonable price. Even if they do start a witch hunt for me, yo
  3. Nice one, thanks mate. I had looked at those before so it's nice to see some footage from one. Just watched the vid again and noticed the pellet on the wall after it's gone through the rats head!
  4. Really nice clear picture there mate and good shot too! What do you use to record the footage?
  5. Thanks guys, glad you liked it! Mis-judged the wind and got lucky really. Ended up being a really nice H/L shot. He ran for the hedgerow but dropped before he could reach it. It was stone dead by the time we walked over to collect it.
  6. This is following on from my post last week with pics of ten rabbits that I shot in the wind last Friday, my personal best and a cracking night all round! As always would love to know what you think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz32ruYUMfs
  7. Great shooting and lovely stock on the HW100
  8. Good shooting. Just out of curiosity Daz, if a rabbit's arse did glow red under lamp light, would you have shot it?!
  9. Sure, it's not listed on eBay at the moment, but here is the seller's eBay page, he has a kit for sale but he also sells just the camera module for £125. I hope that's not against any rules, I'm not affiliated at all. I would send he guy a message before you buy it, I got it quite a bit cheaper than the list price Thanks Elliot, just had a quick look at your channel too and you've got some great vids there!
  10. Thanks mate. I use a NiteSite NS50 but with an `upgrade` camera module on it (£100 off eBay), which doubles or triples the effective range to 250-300 yards. Really is a good bit of kit
  11. Thanks acculead, I'm letting the gun down a bit, wood was getting dry in this pic. Just gave a good dose of walnut oil now though and looking even more lovely
  12. Thanks for the comments chaps, I have my moments Yeah, it looks damn tiny in your hands mate, When you get bigger you can get a mans size one like me (100T) LOL :tongue2: Thanks Daz, one day I'll need my big boy pants, and a rifle length HW100 of course

    Bad Day

Are you sure it was alive and not just nerves? I usually touch the animals eye ball to be sure, if they blink, they're still alive and vice versa. Don't beat yourself up about it either way, sometimes we just can't help these sort of things. I've had rats survive head shots before, but a follow up has always done the job
  14. I use an MTC mamba on my rifle but when my friend puts the nitesite on his Hawke Varmint scope, we have to wind the eye relief back a bit and fit the camera into the rubber hose only just enough to grip. This holds the camera further back from the eye piece essentially and for some reason helps it focus in the centre more. Yours may be another problem altogether though...
  15. Hi all, I've just finished editing this one and would love to know what you think and if you have any suggestions to improve future ones? Cheers, Joe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl_1zHAEeAM
  16. Cheers Daz, it's a cracking little rifle and certainly does the job
  17. It looks like you need to adjust your paralax or perhaps the camera isn't focused to the scope quite as well as you'd want it to be. Nice shooting though! What's the scope?
  18. I had my personal best night on the rabbits last night, despite the wind. I'm glad we got some bunnies off to the butcher before the real bad weather sets in and stops play for a week! I was using my Weihrauch HW100S .177 and the trusty Nitesite. Got them all on camera too, so watch out for a video on my channel soon!
