    Hi blackbriar, I use gurit epoxy resin for my micarta, and yeah it is harsh on your tools mate, I wouldn't want to make one just using hand tools. I does take more work than wood. Hope this helps

    Black and red micarta chunky milbro, extremely strong, banded with dankung 1745 looped tubes, black paracord bracelet lanyard, £35 delivered.

    Made these two side shooters, This one is walnut with multiplex core and burlap micarta palmswell. Treated with boiled linseed oil and a few coats of polyurethane. Can be shot OTT or TTF, used with bands or looped tubes.     Hi lads, thought I would start a thread on catties that I'm selling, I'll add to it when I make more, if anybody is interested then pm me. Comes banded with either dangkung 1745 tubes or theraband gold. Also come with a paracord bracelet lanyard. If anyone wants anything specific made then just ask, cheers. This one is walnut with a multiplex core and ash with walnut insert palmswell. Can be shot either OTT or TTF. Nice and accurate and fits the hand well. Just need to give it a few coats of polyurethane, which I will do tomorow. £35 posted (uk only)

    surely with that cut into each fork they are going to be very weak at the point where the most strength is needed . nope, still strong as f*ck

    Hi lads, bought this 3" blade off Riohog a while back and handled it using walnut and red micarta spacers.

    Micarta is just layers of material (paper,linen,denim etc) bonded together using resin, then clamped together until set. Maybe I could do a short video and post it up. It's really easy to make, is a bit harder to work with than wood, tools hate it!

    Made this catty tonight only using micarta, And it's strong as f*ck! Still need to give it a bit more sanding but it's nearly there. Cheers Harry
