  2. Made this catty from a yew fork I cut, the guy wanted something pocketable for when out mooching and he wanted it natural, I did put a walnut cap on it just to break it up.

  8. Knocked this Yew natty PFS up tonight whilst waiting for some glue to dry on another yew natty I'm making, I've really got into PFS shooting lately so thought I would use a small fork I cut yesterday to make this one, I forced dried it in the microwave first, I quickly banded it up with some double TBG and it shoots sweet!! I put a little BLO on it just to see how the grain would come out and it's quite nice, I'll try and get it finished this week along with the other yew natty.

  16. Thought I'd put some pics up of a nice little natty I just sold to a member on here, Never normally shoot naturals, but after banding it up with Double TBG I took it out on a little mooch with me, I originally went out to cut some more natural forks. Whilst out I spotted a woodie sat in a tree over the pond, so I let a 12mm steel fly his way and dropped him to a watery grave. Was so impressed with the natty that I didn't really want to sale it, but after promising it to the lad on here I honoured my word and sold it to him. Defo gunna start shooting more naturals from now. I cut around 10 di
  17. Shame I can't view photos on photobucket on my phone :-(
  18. Thanks buddy, I did make that one for myself, it's a copy of the HTS that I bought from pocketpredator.com. I did ask Bill Hayes if he had a problem if I made it and he was fine about it, not to sure if he'd be happy if I stated copying his product and selling them tho mate, if you check out pocketpredator.com I'm sure bill makes a hardwood HTS if you want one
  19. I shoot a TTF side shooter catty, was designed and made by Bill Hayes, all of the forks are on show but never had a fork hit or handslap, I think "fork hits" are down to user error and are really common when people first start shooting catties, more than likely down to the type of catapult they are starting with rather than how they are holding it, takes a while to find a design you are comfortable with along with finding an anchor point that you are consistent with, just my opinion
  20. yeah at least youcanthide..... Replaced it with another catty for free mate, he didn't have to. FairPlay to him.
  21. Nitemare, hardwood alone is pretty weak when it comes to a fork hit :-/
  22. Now sold, Thanks mick, top bloke. And welcome to the best section on THL ;-)
