  2. He's a great shot with a catty, and a sound lad as well to go with it! Always been on hand for me when it comes to asking his advice on things,
  3. just keep practising mate, it's easy hitting targets, then once your out hunting everything is different, different ranges, elevations weather conditions etc..... Plus pigeons are very wary so hard to stalk to within range. Just keep at it. Good luck
  4. Pm'd you mate, put a pic up of your catty
  5. Don't have to be a catty to be honest bob, anything hunting/outdoors related, also into ferreting air gunning etc
  6. Hi lads bought this original bill Hayes (pocketpredator) Hathcock target sniper catty from America, I paid over £50 for it. Looking to trade it for another catty, I've made a replica of it so I no longer use it, they are extremely accurate and easy to aim/shoot! Universal forks so can be used with bands/tubes/squares. I've hardly used it , still like new . Will come banded with theraband gold...... Let me know if your interested, cheers
  7. you'll have enough money to retire the rate your banging them out mate ;-)!! Great starter catties at a great price!
  8. That's ok mate, glad you like it. Once you get the bug for making them you can't stop!!! Just remember to find time for shooting practise as well as making them ;-)
  9. I'm right handed, I hold my catty in my right hand mate
  10. if your using double TBG tapered 20-25 and you feel it's not powerful enough then I don't think latex would be better, I was sent some latex bands as a gift, they last longer but arnt as powerful as TBG
  11. Looks lovely that mate, I'd be well happy with it
  12. as long as it's in the bag mate ;-)
  13. no worries mate, doesn't cost that much to buy, and there easy to make. Check out BPR's pinned thread on how to make them at the top of the catty section if you get stuck. Cheers
  14. Hi mate, here's a few links to ebay for the stuff to start making your own band sets; .Rotary cutter for cleanly cutting the bands(don't use scissors) http://bit.ly/1uvRJD6 .A craft mat to cut them on http://bit.ly/13u82Vk .Theraband gold, you can order various lengths http://bit.ly/1g0uZas .pouches (various options to buy) http://bit.ly/1gR0jsb .Metal ruler for measuring and cutting the theraband http://bit.ly/1g0vcui Hope this helps mate
  15. that's the best thing to do buddy, it's just about finding the right catty for you, everybody is different. Just try and find an anchor point to pull to every time I.e your ear, cheek, mouth, shoulder etc. that way you will be more consistent with your shots, then it's just finding a place on your catty I.e right fork, left fork etc to use as a marker on your target. Good luck, you'll get there mate
  16. Try using a TTF catty gnasher, I couldn't shoot a milbro like you got for shit when I first started so I started using a TTF catty, I find it much more accurate, plus no fork hits or hand slaps hers one I made that I use .
  17. Yeah probably mate, doubles are much more faster, a pigeons breast bone is really hard tho, I've shot a few with my air rifle and they haven't dropped. Gotta be a good shot with a catty to head shoot them!
  18. What width are you cutting your theraband gold at? Should be loads of power in doubles!
  19. Sweet mate, nice when it all comes together :-)
