  1. So don't cut it square ? you can cut it square and it will be fine, but if cut on an angle will be devastating on impact
  2. Yeah you can get reed bar, then just cut it to desired lengths...... If you cut the ends on an angle there absolutely lethal!
  3. make sure what your looking at isn't stainless steel mate, as they are a lot more expensive
  4. Defo singles if using 9.5s...... Easier draw, can hold on target easier, easily enough power for small game, cheaper as you go through less bands, I'd only use doubles if shooting say 12mm lead and heavier.
  5. Went to wilkos today to clear them out of m10 hexnuts, but somebody had beat me to it!! So decided to grab a little bag (£1.99) of m eight hexnuts instead...... Driving back I stopped at the farm to have a look about. Spotted a magpie in an ash tree about 12m away. Managed to take a shot out the van window and dropped him easily, so m eight defo do the job on feather if you can't get m10's.....
  6. if honest mate, it's hard to explain until you've owned both R10 and the hw100. I felt that the r10 just felt a bit "plasticky" in the hand and a bit delicate. Whereas the hw100 feels more "real" and just feels more well made.
  7. I had the R10..... Then sold..... Then Bought the HW100..... So glad I sold the R10!!
  8. Thanks, mate. :thumbs:I was hoping L7 had made it himself - I was going to ask him really, really nicely............ but never mind ! lol, yeah Dan Ford made that one I'm afraid mate, and as stated he's not making them anymore :-( there defo not cheap tho :-/
  9. Had an early morning mooch around the farm today, wanted to take a couple of new ferret kits out and let them run through a few Burys just to get them going for the coming season, whilst standing in the wood waiting for the ferts to do there thing, I spotted a squirrel in an old oak I was stood under, had to wait a while for him to present a clear headshot, but once he did I let a m10 hexnut fly his way, took him cleanly with a nice headshot.... He's a big old boy as well. So that was the ferrets dinner sorted...... As they'd let me down on finding any rabbits lol
  10. Marbles are good........ But bearings fly faster and are more accurate mate!
  11. Lol yeah get mine in wilko's mate..... I normally clear them out of m10 hexnuts....... If you haven't got a wilkos near you, then go to screwfix as apparently they do them pretty cheaply there
  12. Had this pigeon earlier, using the sps catty, looped 1745's and m10 hexnuts.
  13. Looks mint mate, get some "mint imperial" sweets for him to use as ammo ;-)
  14. Done a bit of target practise from 10m, using sps catty, 3/8 steel and looped 1745 tubes.
