To speed dry them, stick them in microwave for 15 seconds, then allow to cool. Then keep repeating the process until dry. Don't go more than 15 seconds at a time as the microwave blows up :-/ lol and like atom lab has said, get on the slingshot forum, loads of different designs on there to print out mate

I wouldn't use anything with a pithy core to it, a good rule for natural catties is, any fruit or nut tree will be good, cut them over length to allow for any splitting during the drying process mate, try to cut them with forks at around and inch in diameter. Good luck

Here you go mate, As you can see, once you've drilled hole and cut slit there's not a lot of "meat" left to the fork, And this is what happend, didn't even band it up cos I knew I'd lose an eye...... And although multiplex is much stronger that hardwood, it's not when your pulling a strong set of tubes against a piece that's approx 5mm thick

I've made a sps from multiplex with quick change slits, and if honest mate, cutting slits in the forks seriously weakens them, to the point that I snapped the fork off the one I made with my fingers. The forks are only about 20mm wide, you then have to drill a 7mm hole through the center of this to allow for tubes, then cut a slit all the way to the 7mm hole from the edge of the fork. This means that the top of the forks are only relying on a piece of multiplex around 5mm wide to keep them connected to the catty. This is why a metal core is used. Really glad your happy with the catty Tom! It is an awesome catty and like you said, it's nice and pocketable and a good freezer filler! And the best bit is you now own a custom catty made by probably Britain's best maker, who no longer makes and sells catties!!

OTT (over the top,) bands are pulled over the top of forks and ammo passes over the forks. TTF (through the forks) bands are tied to the side of the forks, ammo passes through the forks PFS (pickle fork shooter) catty with no cup section, only a small gap to allow band attachment, bands pulled over the top of forks, catty is then flicked forward just after pouch is released to the make ammo pass over the forks and not straight into your hand!! Pouch can also be twisted 90 degrees before release, this then makes the ammo fly up and over the forks, BANDS ( flat latex bands cut to various w -
