  1. Always pull to the same "anchor point" be it your eye, ear cheek etc, then find a point on your catty to use as an aiming marker, whether it be the left fork, right fork, centre of forks etc, once you find your anchor point and aiming marker, then don't change it! Just keep pulling to these points every shot and after a while your brain will just do it all automatically.
  2. If they say no bud then just say thanks for your time and knock again, nothing wrong with rejection, and when you do get a yes, it makes it all more worth it and your look after the perm more as you know how hard they are to get, if I was you I would start looking for a bit of ferreting permission, people are less concerned about a stranger roaming there land with a hand full of nets and a ferret than they are about a bloke they know nothing about wandering around with a gun, once your in the door with the ferreting and they go to know you, it's then easier to ask them if it would be ok to pop
  3. Love that yew fork mate, cracking job!!
  4. Try working hard at knocking doors mate, same as everyone on here has had to do, asking for perms on here will only result in having a new asshole torn..... Everyone on here is after permissions or more permissions, good luck
  5. Haha welcome back bud!! Now behave ;-) lol
  6. I'm sticking to my "all seasons" set up, looped 1745's and M 8's
  7. Looks like I won't be receiving my catty now that flynndog is banned !! Lol
  8. Funny that mate, as I was ferreting today I looked up to see this woody just sat there watching me, lucky for him I didn't have a catty with me!!! He literally sat there for a good 15 mins while I was pissing around right under neath him..... If I had had a catty in my pocket he would've been gone when he seen me 3 fields away!! Sod's law, but I'll have him another time the brave f****r!! Lol
  9. Don't use anything else except supersure pouches, there by far the best out there, I'm still on my first pouch, had it for about 4 months now and must've put thousands of shots through it, still perfect!!
  10. Hi Marcus and welcome! Be as quiet as you can when setting the nets, don't stomp all over the warren whilst smoking a fag and let the rabbits know your up there before even entering your ferret, there less likely to want to bolt if they know your up there. If you don't already have ferrets, then try and find someone in the summer who will be breeding from good working stock ferrets, if you can try and tag along this season with a local ferreter too you, to gain some good hands on experience. Good luck mate
  11. Welcome back mate!!!! Can't beat a bit of pheasant bashing.... (In daylight and on permission)

  15. What lovely soft hands you got Kev ;-) lol. Top work as always mate and FairPlay for putting up a build log!
  16. If your shot is going low then just lower your anchor point very slightly, if it's an elevated shot, then set up shot as of you were going to shoot something in front of you, so pull to anchor point then bend at the waist keeping everything lined up as normal
  17. Glad to hear you got her back mate!!
