    Took the new dog to a few earths this morning to see how she went on, 19 mnth chocolate pat, the first few wasn't interested and then we gt to a 5 holer that she marked well, collared her up and in she went, could hear her running around 5 minutes later back out , nt to worry on to the next few, not interested in the next 4 or 5 , then marked really well on a nice little 3 holer, slipped her in sat down had a fag, had a listen and she was running around yipping a bit left her for a good half hour out with the box but couldn't get a mark gt her out in the end so can only imagine it was really h

    I no wat u mean but 100's of lads gt good dogs in this country that maybe nt frm the best of lines but do wat they want them to do, all am sayin f he just wants a gud little fox dog plenty of options over here

    I've heard the main problem with these is just nt knowing the size as they can be far to big to go to ground, like has been said in the thread there is plenty of genuine stuff over here that will do more than u need, atb

    I had a patterdale bitch bred off hard parents and to look at her you would of thought it was a grandmas lap dog lol, didn't look up t much, and she was an out and out bolter, never took any stick, i'm not saying thats a good thing but she new her job, sometimes a terrier is needed to hold the quarry down to ground, but very rarely will u see a fox on a hunt that will bolt as its been chased to ground and no's whats waiting for it if it does bolt, if your dead silent and don't walk over the earth and slip the dog from a distance your more likely to get a bolt the same rules as ferreting rabbit
