  1. I think it would be more sensible to get a gun dog, at the end of the day only u can decide, i gave up the whole bullgreyhound game lamping all quarry because of trouble that came with it i do miss it, but reminders that its nt really worth it for me anymore and i have other sports that i love and keeps me occupied, with gundogs as well they can be used all year round, u'l miss it but sense comes into everything
  2. Exactly, Each to there own in terms of looks and even working style although someone may have a dog that is a 100% and will go to ground and stay its style may not suit the next mans needs, e.g a hard dog that may only be able to have one dig a day will not suit a man that needs a dog to do 3 or 4, so as i say each to ther own in all aspects of the job
  3. exactly, it dunt matter about colour, coat, or f**k all as long as they do the biz, the only reason i asked bout the chocolate pat is when gt her a lad sad to me, nice dog but i haven't seen a good one yet and thers always alot of banter about ther just inbred and useless now.
  4. Whats all the stigma around chocolate pats been no gud, do u think they have just been bred for the money in recent years?
  5. So do you think that the chocolate pats are on their way out, just i was talking to a fella the other day and he said haven't seen a decent one yet, with regards to earthwork, obviously there will be good ones out there but are the chocs turning into a pure showbreed?

  13. the lad that sold her is having sum trouble with the rspca etc, he's always had gud terriers and he's had four dogs took of him thats y he was gettin rid he's a local lad, she's had 2 easy 1's with him, she's a well bred dog, but like u say still only a pup really
  14. Thats the thing, other ones i've had hav just done it, i had a little pat bitch who self entered at 16 mnth, she stayed and didn't look back she would only mark if ther was one at home from that age so this is a bit of a learning curve for me
