    Had a little trip out with my 2 hobbs for the first time this morning (In the hale and rain). Put them to the holes and they were straight in! Worked them on two diffrent twenty holers and pushed 10 rabbits in a couple of hours! Not bad for 2 little newbies, bless em. Polecat was very quick from 1 end of the warren to the other pushing 3 rabbits! Then i put the albino down and being much more thorough pushed 7 to the nets! Great start

    My albino went missing from the garden when out have some free time. I looked everywhere for him, gardens the play park and school field but nowhere to be seen. Even set a couple of traps in the garden! Nothing!! After coming to terms that i had lost him 3 days later he climbs back up the fence standing at the top looking at me as if nothing had happened! Little smart arse lol! Dont belive it im so made up! So is my lonly polcat

    It was somthing my partners dad said he did when he was ferreting back in the 70s and her uncle still does Wasnt sure if people still did it or not? Just asking people on here as starting out. Asking about is all part of learning the right way! Sorry if u feel this is stupid to ask!

    Whats the ideal amount of time to starv the ferrets before going out on the hunt? Does it afect the outcome of the amount of rabbits u will catch or lack of energy in the ferret?

    Is there an ideal age to breed ferrets? Younger the better or the older and wiser?

    Hi jamie there17 weeks! doing a bit of local research at the moment, seeing whats on offer! A few in mind but some hard holes! Dont wanna jump in at the deep end

    Just wanted to say hello. Im a new member from Ely, Cambridgeshire and newish to ferreting! Been out with my father in-law over the past few years and have now got my own ferrets I got myself two Hobbs 17 weeks of age. 1x albino 1x polecat Been out to look at a few warrens and im Looking forward to working them, roll on December!! All advise appreciated Thank you, Adam
