  1. Don't think it would ever get permission it's one allotment in a big amount of gardens. Just looking to sell it as a garden or some were for stables etc. It's situated in chopwell gateshead.
  2. Large allotment garden plot of land. Registered with deeds. No power or water just land. 500msq access with vehicles. Roughly what would it sell for?

  4. 6 ft fence right round the garden and never had bother before in 5 year of having them. Have always been told foxes kill the lot
  5. Down the allotment today found one of my fully grown ducks laying dead on its back. Turned it over only to realise that it's full head and neck was totally missing,no bits hanging still intact or anything just totally gone. No feathers or blood around the bird. Done a spot check to see if everything else was ok only to realise another fully grown duck has totally vanished no body no feathers just gone. Any suggestions would be helpful. Cheers
  6. Defiantly cover the whole area with black polythene or weed mat. Roll it back a bit at a time as you dig the area then when your cleared up re use ya poly to cut into strips for paths and edging works brilliant for me
  7. Yeah got them in separate cages in pairs. Would mice stop them from making nest etc. No signs of mite any were and cook birds were singing like mad before I put them together.
  8. Sick as a chip,hearing people with all these big numbers of youngins already and I've not got any signs. Could well be plenty things scaring them as on the edge of a big wood but have the birds in cages in closed in shed. Big learning curve all this. Ha ha. Cheers for the replys
  9. Help appreciated. Got 5 pair of canaries paired up, all made lovely tidy little nests, brilliant I thought not long till eggs start coming, but one by one each pair has destroyed the nests and just started sh..ING in the nest pans and not bothering any more. What's up is it me or the birds? Ha ha
  10. I have 6 cayuga ducks, layed all summer and stopped through winter should they be starting again yet or is there still not enough natural light? Feed them only on layers pellets and scraps of bread, alot of feed for nothing in return.
  11. Tether that's more like the help I wanted lol. That's seems quite a good thing. Do any lads use them on hear is it a gadget that doesn't work or good kit, what kind of price do these go for? Joe thought the key was plenty of light and not so much heat? Any reason for mash rather than pellets?
  12. That's what I was thinking mate but haven't found any garden lights that charge enough outside in winter and only seem to give a flicker of light then go back off
  13. I don't mean electric lights clever Dick I meant is there any way of running lights with out electric ie solar panels or leisure batteries.

  16. Weekend work is pants. Would love to do garden work and handy man stuff with my own little van and round. Started doin it locally in the summer and was hoping for it to take off but seems a struggle to get established. Would be a dream come true though bein out there with my own little van making my own money
  17. That's just it thou. I work two weekends a month one is Fri sat Sun day shifts then the same as a night shift plus my normally working week. Got two young children and getting sick of being out 13 hours a day just to get by and I see plenty people with canny little jobs and hours just gettin on nice.
  18. I currently come home with 1600 quid a month after doin 12 hour shifts and days mixed with nights. Could I make anything like this on the taxis?
  19. The first time I tried they chased each other around a bit then just cuddled up and never actually seen them mate. Then tried a different doe and within seconds they had each other on there backs fur every were and head butting each other. Sick as a chip, meant to be so easy to breed but not having much luck

  21. Would it be better to work for a cab firm or go at it on my own, would like to do airports and pre booked hopefully would miss a lot of the trouble customers and drunks. What sort of wage would this bring on average?
  22. Yeah I keep the male in my outside aviary and take the female to it. There defiantly the right sexes as I bought off a breeder that was selling up
