    Land in Meath aint bad,went out for a lamp a few days ago,land was good,not too hard,bitch done well,caught 6 out of six bunnies,well that was all i seen,not bad .

    greyhounds are easy to come by in ireland,a lot dont make the grade so are either put to sleep or rehomed,some good one you can get hold of because they are finished racing and the owners just want rid of them to make way for young stock or some are fighting on the track and after three times fighting they are banned for good,i have got a bitch that was fighting on the track and i bred off her,she had great drive and would take fox day or night,a ideal start to urcher breeding.

    Fair play to you for carrying her all the way back down the mountain,i know a lot of people that would of killed her there and then,but it gave you enjoyment in sport and your just repaying it back,...hope everything works out for your dog.

    nobody in their right mind would sell a good lamping bitch,or even a good daytime bitch,a mate of mine has a small lurcher[beddlington greyhound x collie greyhound],she will lamp all night and will carry all live back to hand,he gets 25 euro a bunny of the greyhound men,so this bitch is priceless,

    i know someone that has a little bitch thats simalar to the lurcher your looking for,she didnt make the grade on bigger game but she is a demon on daytime bunnies and a even better lamper,only one thing wrong with her is .......... SHE IS NOT FOR SALE.

    Rang this guy on evening enquiring about pups he had for sale,they were avdertised as deerhound greyhound x saluki x greyhound on the buy and sell,[no pictures],he lived about miles away from me,he told me over the phone that he had both parents of the pups and no expence was spared feeding these pups,and both parents of the pups were killing anything and everything,there was nothing that could get away from them,he had me interested in a couple of pups at 75 punts a pup,so i said to him that i will leave now and i would ring him when i was half way to him,so my mate and i started our mile j

    I had a deerhound greyhound first cross years ago,worked him on hareall the time,never used him on the lamp,could give a hare a good spin but at the age of six he was starting to loose his top gear so i retired him,but i took him lamping one night during his retirement and he took to it like a duck to water,i used him for lamping for rabbit till the age of nine and then he lay around the house till he died at the age of eleven years,so like most dog owners you will know when he is not giving you 100% so then its time for you to call it a day,

    This is a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 wheaton i bred about 4 years ago,not a bad dog for fox,will give a hare a run for his money and is not afraid to put his head down a dark pipe,

    Yes i remember tom clarke and eddie dunne,dunne would sell sand to the arabs,sadly them both passed away,and now peter is in a nursing home,his wife told me she got rid of all his dogs,a real pity,he could tell a good hunting story and you get a great laugh out of him,he will never see a field or his home ever again.Well thats life,

    Been in touch with pip,s wife,yes he is in a nursing home in Swords,he is in the second stage of dementia,away with the fairys,she told me to prepare myself if i visit him as he is not what he used to be,he is in there since the first of january of this year,got a mobile number for Dermot aswell,so thanks to all for your help. good hunting to you all.     great dogs you have there,they are stuck like glue on them hares,goes to show how smart hares are for i watched one where the hare used the big water tank to throw the dog off,but it didnt work.
