    i keep all my dogs outside, nice warm kennels and good size dog runs,plenty of food and bedding to keep them full and warm,i never had a dog inside the house for i think they would get to cosy and wouldnt want to leave the fire,not only that,i think a dog that lives in a house is prone to different illness,s so maybe its better to keep them outdoors as it makes them hardy.

    when you hunt in the paddocks we have here you cant give them 100 yd starts as they would be in the next field and out of sight of the dog,a hare can find top gear as soon as he leaves the seat .

    anyone thats selling a dog in the heart of the hunting season i find there is always something wrong with it,its either useless or its dangerous with livestock or whoever is selling it is a dealer.

    you might think your doing good but your NOT,a pup need to develop its bones before its gets serious exercise,i dont start to give my pups till they mature fully,the bitches around 14 months and the dogs a bit longer,most times i always keep two pups as they play all day so the get the exercise they need and when they are tired they can stop themselves.

    a friend of mine was looking for a lurcher to buy a few years ago and as nobody we knew had any for sale he decided to try donedeal,a guy in wicklow had a lurcher for sale,the add he had on stated that the dog was taking everything day or night single handed,so he rang the gut and chatted to him for a few minutes about the dog and he asked where he could view him so he arranged to meet the next day at his home,the dog was a greyhound saluki x greyhound whippet,now this was the heart of the winter so good dogs are hard enough to come by,he was looking 150 euro,s for the dog,so the next day we d

    i remember years ago i done them myself,never needed a vet to do them,i suppose if i was getting a vet to do them now he would probably charge about 30 euro a pup which is total robbery.

    There is nothing safe these days but if your going to brag on website about terreirs and their work,or worse still post pictures of your marked up terriers its bound to get up the noses of these so called animal lovers,if your dog does the job you have it for then for fucks sake keep it to yourself,all it takes is a nosey neighbour who ,s daughter is on facebook and see your battle scared terrier after a long dig and next thing you have coppers and dspca officals taking your dogs away and you end up in court with a big fine and a ban from owning a dog,so lads is it worth it,....i remember a ga
