  1. Just put info in chairgun for a .177 running 11.5 ft/lbs and 5.5 inch drop at 60 yards is correct using a pellet weight of 8.4 gr and a 30 yard zero.
  2. Hi all, I know pellet selection is a personal / gun choice but I just have a quick question about pellet weights. I'm struggling to get my .22 TX200 very accurate above about 30 yards, with RWS super field which are 15.9 gr. I've also found superfields to be terrible in my .177 as well so I'll be ditching these totally. With the .177's there isn't alot of difference really in all the big brands, mostly between 8 to 8.6 gr I've found. However with the .22's there seems to be a bigger available range of weights. I'm thinking that around the 16 gr mark may be a little too heav
  3. So when using it you just put the end of the muzzle up to the opening as in line as you can judge by eye and fire it through?I take it the end of the muzzle of the 97 won't actually fit in the hole itself.
  4. Thanks simon that helps. Would be good to see a pic of the xcortech one of secretagentmole too! Simon have you had any problems using it like that? Ever shot it or broke it?
  5. The xcortech link you gave me comes with a tripod. Its still a smallish hole though im concerned about not being able to line up the barell properly. I dont know which one will be better so im confused. Any chance you could post a photo of yours with your underlever lined up with it?
  6. Is that the combro or the xcortech? Is it easy to line up through the xcortech one?
  7. That looks the business! Anyone else got any experience of that one please?
  8. Have you ever had any problems with using it on a springer? I'd probably get the £4 alignment tool with it too.
  9. Hi all, Thinking of buying a Combro cb625. Both my guns are underlevers. Firstly how do they attach? I have seen some videos of people taping them on or using elastic bands, but it looks like there is some kind of clamp supplied with the thing itself, yet in all the pictures I have seen I can't see how its actually held on. For example: Is it screwed on or something? Secondly, are they any good?? The F1 chrono I'm sure is better but its out of my price range. This seems to be the only other option. Thirdly, the website from where I would order them seems the m
  10. Im tempted to try the service myself although this will be my first time at this sort of thing. What would be involved in a proper service? Can I use the shoot through cleaning pellets for the barrel clean? As for pellets im tempted to go for something a bit lighter like superdomes which are about 14 gr. Neither of my guns liked the superfields I used yesterday the 97 hated them in .177, they were very tight in the barrel.
  11. Hi all. I picked up a 2nd hand tx200hc .22 last week and had first chance to properly test it yesterday. Its a 2004 mk3. Visually its in really good condition so its been looked after. I was struggling with groups at 30 yards plus. It was ok at 15 yards. Is a service necessary on it? I havent chronod it as dont have one.
  12. Thanks Pianoman for clarifying it. It does look dark compared to most beech stocks Ive seen. I found this pic on the internet (below), and to be honest it doesn't look like either of them. It seems to me to be somewhere in between the two shades. Adjusting the trigger there are two screws? This is for adjusting the trigger weight only yes?
  13. I'm new to this, not really sure how light the triggers should be?? This TX trigger is feather light hardly a touch needed but I'm comparing it to the 97 which is really heavy (at the moment).
  14. Hi Dan the difference between a stage 1 and a 2 is the spring guide is screwed in to the trigger mech biock on the s2 so cannot move . This cannot be done on the 98 so the 98 ,95's are all stage 1's the 77's 97's etc with the solid screw out block can be s2 tuned . Ive got a s2 77 and an s1 98 both great rifles nowt between the 2 Thanks for the clarification. I know this is slightly off the original topic of the OP, but saves me raising a new post just for this. I'm not sure whether to go for a stage 1 or stage 2 tune (and having just watched zini's new video there is now mention of
  15. I'm having exactly the same mate, the 97 is pulling to the left. Its only when shooting the tx i realised how heavy the 97 trigger was. Any idea on whether the trigger on the TX can be made heavier?
  16. Picked this up today! Very happy with it. I was expecting a beech stock from the original low res pic the seller put up but I think its the walnut? Its my first wooden stock gun so I'm not sure? Doesn't really matter either way but would be a nice bonus. There are a few dings/scratches on the stock, nothing major, but is it possible to polish these out? How would I go about doing this? Now the trigger. I had the shock of my life when I fired it at home earlier, its way too light for me. Didn't even feel the 2nd stage bit the first time I pulled it. I'd like to make it a bit stiffe
  17. I really do love how that rifle looks. It just looks the business. It looks hardcore lol. I think its the very thick barrel that makes it look so mean! Wonder what difference is between stage 1 and stage 2 then?
  18. Your 98 looks lovely rifle mate. Did you have a stage 1 or stage 2 tune?
  19. Thanks for all the replies its much appreciated. Luckily I have found a used tx200hc mk3 which I pick up on sunday
  20. I paid that for my second hand one without a bag. You must have caught the sale there mate.
