1- Keeping the house warm and trying not to die...
2- Avoiding talking to people as much as possible...
3- Nurturing contradiction as a 'life' choice...
  1. I had a few go's just to see whether it was worth it last year but decided against the idea. A few people I know just shoot from land rovers which seems better.
  2. I was told a minimum of three years for Cornwall but I may have to revise the position after seeing this thread. I think a few calls may be in order as it is annoying but understandable for a newly acquired fac like mine.
  3. I've been a bit backed up lately too... but personal problems aside I was chuffed to get my fac through the other day and checked out a nice cz american today. As far as I know they did all checks before coming but I have tried to be over cautious in every aspect. I found our field officer very nice but answer all questions as a matter of fact and try not to deviate. For example, I asked some questions about my Dad using the gun and the field officer thought I meant on his own.. It was only after backtracking the conversation and being overly clear that I meant using the gun with me beside him
  4. Very nice . Well done! I hope to be able to do the same in a few years time!
  5. And I am just waiting for the feo to phone....
  6. A good result.. I cant wait to get my license sorted to pick the things off.....
  7. Good Lord!!! If I'd have know that then I wouldnt have bothered trying to find some Ganders for the girls!!!!!!.....was the mother a lesbian in an artificial insemination program?
  8. My daughter is nearly six and seems like yesterday she was two... I like to include her in what I do as well... I'm teaching her knife throwing and how to kill small creatures efficiently. Her Mum scowls at me a lot!! Hope you and your little Girl have a great day..
  9. A friends greyhound went for a run on the field where I keep the geese a few months back and the speed he ran was stunning.. caught a goose before we knew it and chased a few bunnies out of hiding in about 20 seconds I reckon. Very nice dogs.
  10. I strip the saddle and marinate in soy sauce.. the longer the better but can be done straight away. any fresh meat on the bone is given to my wolf fish.. shes a fussy bugger too.. the saddle is then either cut to strips or fried as is... very tasty.. very sweet!!
  11. The best one was treading on a large female and impaling it with a ww2 french spiked bayonet... I have had more luck like this as well as stunning them with a pistol then applying pointy pressure... a few people have mentioned whether I have too much time on my hands which I can assure is not the case but any way to reduce the rat population (and rabbit) around here is a bonus.. This forum is a wealth of info though and I just hadnt really any time to post since joining... Keep it up everyone!!
  12. We had some great old traps from the houses of parliament which just dont catch rats any more.. I have caught 13 in two weeks ...literally grabbed them through roofing membrane and skewered them with my throwing knives... I dont know why but when I see a rat I see red... they seem to taunt me!!!!!!
  13. Nice one SS, it was indeed a good read and a good few nights work!
