  1. So would you say people line bred because they no what they are putting in than gambling with some dog they don't no about and ruining the line and stock.
  2. I get the impression you don't like me mr goat. never judge someone without knowing them..just I disagree with some of your ways, and im sure you will disagree with some of my ways. Fair play.
  3. I didn't say it was FACT I just said I've heard it before ! I get what you're saying about the DNA being the same so the chances " should " be the same . Surely though once you've bred a litter has thrown grafters then the repeat should through grafters every time ? It should work that way in my opinion but you just never no wat way a litter will go in the terrier world thats what keeps things interesting. Its nice when you have a good working dog and bitch preferably off the same blood and you think they should compliment each other and produce well bred workers but sometimes thats not the c

  5. Have you brought one yet mate? My advice is go to the midlands game fair this weekend end, the bellman and flint man will be there and I'm guess his competitors will be there as well. You can judge for yourself.
  6. Ok maybe I was wrong in saying repeat Mateing is never as good as the first litter And I shouldn't said FACT. that's just me I'm against it that's my opinion and it is debateable. I've never bred, mates have used one of my dogs but I've never actually bred. I've only taken their advice. I guess trial and error is one way to find out. Also want to bring some fresh blood in because she is line bred anyway. I've herd that bring fresh blood in then going straight to the bitches line can chuck good stock.
  7. how can she watch her mother if both parents are dead? Well spotted dogger. The goat is acting like a goat. Haha
  8. Understand ya mate, I see what ya saying. Should at least give her this season then wait till the spring. Thanks
  9. Well in my little circle (don't see why that is funny) we don't like to repeat breeding as with any dog, terrier lurcher etc when you repeat the same cross it never as good as the first litter of that cross. FACT. Any dog breeder/ trainer will tell you that. As for my bitch she is 2 years old. And you say you have a 8 month old bitch and she hasn't even cross your mind. I'd be pretty excited if she was my bitch especially as the season is around the corner, even if she doesnt dig yet she should be taken out and shown what is about, see what happens at the end of a dig let her see for herself,
  10. Your absolutely right mate a super hard dog will usually get itself in a pickle one day or the next, but like I said on the start on this forum, brains are beginning to show. I know 1 or 2 hulk like terriers but they can sometimes be more of a pain in the ass then sport and I wouldn't use them across the bitch. Your right in what you say about iron terriers mate they are defiantly a liability, but you don't want one running around with their tail between their legs. Brains are beginning to show or she is starting to spew? Lol you wont know at 2 yr old. Lol no she ain't spewing mat

  12. Look lads a lot of you keep bringing up her age and her experience. This is what I've started this forum for to get other people's opinion. My mates keep saying bred her bred her bred her. I've got a couple of good terriers and had plenty of shit from well bred litters, so I no what's good and bad and you cant always get pups like the parents. They say you only get one dog that shines from the rest in ya life and this bitch is it. I've got a stud I can use which is cousin to the bitch. MIND IS MADE UP WE ARE BREEDING THE BITCH. THANKS FOR THE GENUINE FEEDBACK.
  13. Yes they are. But she shines from the rest. She had her first completed dig at 8 months.
  14. do what you want, if you want a pup out of it, go ahead, no matter what you say ppl on here will tell anyone not to anyway. Its your dog I now what ya mean mate. Thanks for your reply. You think it won't harm her in the way she'll work?
  15. Yer she is super iron hard, but brains a beginning to show. Hence If I ever loose her then I lost a good dog and line. Yes she has has one season. You would thInk she has had 2 seasons the way she performs. I wouldn't bother with breeding cause I can get good stuff from the circle I'm in but turns out this bitch looks like its gonna be the best we got in the circle. All my mates want a pup from her and so do I.
  16. Debating on wether to breed a bitch of mine, thing is she is only 2. She is absolutely mustard hasn't put a foot wrong so far. Her blood and lines are of top terriers. Seen her parents work and seen grand parents no a lot of history. Never bred my own before. Some say breeding young makes em mature and harder (not the reason I want to breed her) some say it can ruin a bitch. I really want to breed my own stock from this bitch but also don't want to put her back as she is young and has plenty more to learn.
  17. Flex - Lovely bitch mate. What's her lines, did u breed he?
  18. Never been a coursing man but no what it's about. It was banned by people who have never been or done hare coursing because it is cruel???? Yet pheasant shooting is completely legal, yet pheasants are bred and raised to be shot. I have done plenty of pheasant shooting and I'm a shit shot hence why I don't do it no more. Most of the pheasants I have shot have landed alive, wounded and dying slowly, blood out the mouth, eyes hanging out, 1 and a half wings, you name it. Yet this is not a problem. Hare coursing the dog will kill the hare outright as soon as he catches it, if he catches it or will
  19. Got a bellman & flint mate, very accurate and never let me down. Ortovox suppose to be faster at pickin up changing distances but you can't dig until settled so that don't matter. B&f box very strong a durable made for the terrier sport. If buying new both are expensive. Never used ortovox box cause never needed to. B&f has always done the job with ease.
  20. Hey guys, I hunt with dogs, love it, breathe it, live it.
