  1. Hi guys So I've phoned up Daystate about my regal and they pretty much told me to wear the gun in, I then told them that I've already put 300 odd pellets through it and the bolt is still extremely stiff, they then basically said to take it to my local gunsmiths and and see what they can do, and if i'm still not happy to send it to them. I was then told that if they find nothing wrong with it I will be charged for shipping. I'm now starting to get worried to even shoot the thing as the amount of pressure that needs to be used to cock the rifle cannot be very good for the internals of the ri
  2. Ok guys thanks for your opinions and thankyou for the info, I will ring daystate up tomorrow and sort the problem out, considering I have already put a few hundred pellets through it and its only a couple of days old and its not got any looser at all, it is probably the best thing to do, I have just looked at all the daystate regal reviews on you tube and cocking looks effortless and smooth, and i'm not really loosing out if it only takes a couple of days to sort out. Thanks guys, you have been a great help!! ATB Jack
  3. Hi guys i'm calling out the daystate huntsman regal and classic owners here, I have just picked up my huntsman regal after a very slow 12 week wait, first impressions, its the best looking rifle i have ever seen, and shoots pellet on pellet, this gun, in my opinion tops the hw100 on looks, weight and at least matches it on accuracy, (I also have the hw100 and what a gun) It took me a couple of hundred of shots to get used to the mechanism and the magazine, the only thing that is nagging me is the fact that the bolt is incredibly stiff, is the bolt meant to be this stiff and and does it ge
  4. Hi guys i'm 17 and in the process of filling my shotgun certificate out so I can be gifted a shotgun by a close friend who is over 18, so i'm starting to look at what kind of shotgun I want, I have settled on a 12g and I really want a semi auto as the kind of shooting I will be doing will require me to fire and reload fast, my budget for my first gun will be around £500 and i'm starting to look at the weatherby brand,(the SA-08 in particular) or maybe even a second hand Beretta or browning, but are the likes of Beretta and Browning way out of my price range? any info will be great as
  5. Don't you mean 10.3gr for the Daystate heavies yeah I do mate, I realized what I said when i had posted it, ops
  6. hi mate there is no filter on this gun light, the led bulb in the torch is red so there is no need for filters. I can understand why you would need a more powerful light for that but I am in Cornwall and here the vast majority of fields are small enough were a light that goes up to 100 yards is more than enough
  7. Hi people and thanks for all the replies and advice So my deeben tracer led ray 100 red came today via FedEx, i chose this light because for about £65 all in it looked like my best option as i dont nedd a 200 meter beam (the fields I hunt around are fairly small) My first impressions of the torch are as follow: This gun light has a solid aluminium body with good quality parts, it is well packed and comes with everything you need to go straight out hunting. Upon further inspection the mount that is used to attach the torch to the scope is very easy to use and very effective. With rega
  8. Hi villaman what bipod have you got on your hw100 and does it attach via a QD stud, i was looking at a harris bipod for my soon to be huntsman regal but your bipod looks really nice ATB Jack
  9. thanks mate, really looking forward to it and i will let you know how i get on ATB jack
  10. Hi mate the torch does not come with any filters, instead it is fitted with a red bulb so that the beam will go further ATB Jack
  11. Hi guys I have decided to go for the deeben tracer ledray 100 red, it has a 120m red bean which for my use is more than enough, if the red is ineffective then I could always change the colour of the bulb right? (im not sure on that so any info on this would be great) I also chose this because it's a real lightweight choice to accompany the weight of the daystate huntsman regal which I will be fitting it to. along with this I will be using an MTC mamba 4-16x50 RIR. I think that I will also get a bipod and eventually an Andrew huggett belita moderator to make my setup a true hunting combin
  12. Hi all I have the weihrauch HW100 and have tested this gun with loads of pellets from Rws super points to hard hitting Daystate FT heavy's, what I have found is that this gun is one of the least pellet fussy rifles out there, it literally shoots every pellet I have tried into a tight group, although there is a difference in accuracy they all shoot well within a kill zone on a rabbit, with the likes of the falcon accuracy plus and the daystate ft heavy's producing pellet on pellet performance even at longer ranges. Overall this gun shoots every pellet I have tried with a high degree of
  13. Hi guys I have the hw 100 and I have the huntsman regal on order, should receive it any day next week, you would be impressed with how accurate the hw100 is, pellet on pellet over and over again, and I've heard that the regal is the same ATB Jack
  14. Hi Dan for a mountable gun light my max budget would be about £100 including postage, but I was heading towards a red gun light or a light with colored filters as the rabbits do not register the red as a threat. ATB Jack
  15. Hi guys im looking for gun lights for laming rabbits that fits right on top of the scope, I don't need a very powerful beam that goes miles, just a beam strong enough to light up a rabbit up to 40 yards away enough to take a clean shot, and strong enough to find the quarry. I've been looking at the Deeben Tracer LEDray 100-red, does anybody have any experience with this line of gun lights or this exact model? ATB Jack
  16. HI Guys thanks for the info It's good to know that I have made the right choice in which air rifle to buy and i'm really looking forward to getting the gun, its great to know that the rifle handles well and its also nice to have chekering were your hand naturally grips the rifle, it must be good if you old your airwolf to buy the regal, although I have never had any experience with the airwolf, or any other daystate for that matter so this is a new thing for me. i have the hw100 in .177 and if it shoots anything like that then i will be more than happy. I am putting a MTC mamba 4-16x50 R
  17. Hi guys thanks for the reply's and thanks for your kind words. The stock does look great and i'm really looking forward to getting the rifle, i was also looking at getting the huggett belita as it's so short but still seems to be good at reducing the bark of the gun, and with the looks of the regal it deserves a moderator that keeps up the good looks, I also have decided to get an MTC mamba except I have got the 4-16x50 with the removable illuminated reticule as i got an awesome deal on the scope (£150) from my local gunsmiths brand new, I think they retail for over £200. I think that my s
  18. Hi this is one of my first 5 posts so i'm not exactly sure how this works I have ordered my Daystate huntsman regal in .177 from my local gunsmiths and he said it would take 4 weeks from the factory and i'm waiting to get the call any day now that the rifle is in the shop, really excited but I was just curious as to how the regal feels in the hand with the new wraparound stippling and the weight of the rifle coming in at 2.7 kilos? any information on the rifle would be great. ATB Jack.
  19. Hi guys this is my first post on this forum so i'm new to all this. I was wondering weather any of you have already got your hands on the new Daystate huntsman regal? I have ordered one from my local gunsmiths but it takes four weeks from the factory and i still haven't received it. From what i have seen in videos and pictures it looks like the have improved the shot count, tidied up the stock and improved the value system using titanium but i still have no idea how it feels in the hand and how it shoots. any info on this new gun would be great ATB Jack
