  1. I have both - S410 in .177 and the HW in .22....the HW edges it for me. Thanks Tim
  2. I had a BSA VC on mine but swapped it for a Swift Stumpy.....not as quiet as the HW mod, but keeps the length down without too much sacrifice. thanks Tim
  3. Agree with Skot - I have both and they are as accurate as each other. The S410 probably sneaks it on build quality. Thanks Tim
  4. You could always use a one point sling (or whatever they are called) , that way you would only need to drill the stock Cheers Tim
  5. The Imp is a nice short carbine hunter, ideal from vehicles or hide shooting, but just as at home around a farm building or even on a HFT course knocking over targets for fun. I think your GF is going to be very happy with her buy. Si. Thanks Si, although what do you mean she'll be happy with her buy....it was my credit card :-) :-). I wasn't sure about he single shot version, but she really liked it - I would of had the multishot myself...at the end of the day it was her choice and it gives me a nice rifle if I want to try HFT. Can't wait to put it up against my own HW
  6. Never shot an R10 but from what I have found you can answer the calibre question without linking it to a particular model. Once you have answered the calibre question, you can then choose a model on what the things that matter to you..... Haven't been shooting seriously for very long, but that's what I have found. My personal choice would be .22 for hunting, .177 for targets. Cheers Tim
  7. Hi Andy....I was in there this morning and had a long chat with both Tony & Sol - really nice blokes...ended up ordering an imp and bought my girlfriend an Ultra SE....I also think I got a good deal...although it was an expensive chat ....... :-). Cheers Tim
  8. One order....lets see how we go with it - looks ideal! Thanks for the post and the pics. Cheers Tim
  9. Thanks Jim for the post - Ive spoken to Tony on the phone a couple of times now and never felt rushed......Im visiting him on Wednesday to discuss the Imp and a lightweight pcp......I am looking forward to the cuppa :-) Cheers Tim
  10. Thanks for the replies guys. Mega Hunter - I have a permission just outside. I used to shoot with a friend in the quarry at Kesgrave, until they sold it :-) Cheers Tim
  11. Have just got back into air rifle hunting again after a very long break. Am also interested in the other forums, but the main one will be the air rifles. Look forward to learning lots and hopefully and some point helping others :-) Cheers Tim
