no mate,it is a piece of 4z nylon fishing net,900 meshs long 16 meshs deep,i bought a fishing net 1800x50 meshs,2"knot to knot ,which was white and cut it into long nets,had to double selvedge the bottom on some,top and bottom on others,dyed with my used teabags,net cost £30 15 years ago,up untill then i had been using hemp and silk nets for 30yrs, but alas they had come to the end of their life and had to be replaced,

bit windy tonight,did 1 set of the 50yd net,got 6,and 5 the two nights previous,things are looking up.

plain mild soap and water does it for me, and if it starts looking red or anything try a lil hydrogen peroxide ( NO not the hair dye stuff ) its mild but effective, it will bubble away any bacteria and germ growing proteins and make it easier to heal. Milton is also good for other than ferret inflicted wounds

the patches are where hobs are mounting each other,ferret produce the largest amount of lysol (antiseptic) in their spittle of all mammals,so they should heal okay

wind picking up from SW tonight for the next 2nights then veering NNW for 1 night then WNW then WSW (windspeeds from 14KMPH to 30 KMPH) so hope theres a suitable wind for you in that lot.go get them mate.all the best

bang in eel trap on ebay got loads and not dear,have set fyke nets in blackwater and crouch with a friend who was licenced to do so,do not know if dykes wide enough for fykes (poet and do not know it)also check law regarding otter guards on eel traps.all the best you can bait traps with rabbit guts from the rabbits you paunch.all the best

yukon nv tracker by sibir or a d3mk,bought 2 d3mk,s and the nv tracker off soviet bazaar just before they went to the wall for £450 about 2-3 years ago.i keep the d3mk,s on my rifles and use the nv tracker for longnetting,i also bought the hth-211 pro infrared lazer thats on the above rifles(the dot can only be seen through night vision optics,so no red dot panning around to frighten quarry) and 2 100mw infrared illuminators(although i find a tracer atom lamp with infrared lens the best,hope this helps.all the best

where are you based.all the best nottinghamshire mate. what night vision are you useing ? a yukon nv tracker made by sibir or a d3mk,find them both good

yes mate it does,at the moment i just walk over there, spot them with the nv and just do 1 drop.it takes me 30mins to walk there and 30 mins back so 2 or 3 a time is a comfortable carry.i go nearly every night so always got fresh ferret food.all the best

here there was just enough wind to stir tree tops,i had to walk a huge semi circle and run them in from 100yds out.of course the night vision helps alot,in fact looking out of the window here there is more wind now than in the early hours.still all good fun.all the best
