  1. Personally the best gun I have ever owned was an AYA Yeoman 12 side by side double trigger. It went every where, did every thing and never failed. Cheap and lasted, wish I still had it! Stay clear of semi autos until you are comfortable and on target consistently, the added noise and movement of the action can put some people off. Plus the odd jam can be a pain for new shooters. P.S selling my semi auto because I can load my browning o/u faster.
  2. Personally I find the kestrels a bit clunky, I prefer the feel of AYA's. My first gun was an AYA Yeoman, many years ago, it got plenty of use and never failed. Not the prettiest of guns but it worked. Also had an AYA 25 and again no issues, wish I had never sold the 25 to be honest. Go and shoot a few see what you think handles best. I prefer an English straight stock and small fore end, hence the AYA's. They just seem to handle better for me.
  3. Well that's it the wallets a lot lighter and I now own an Air Wolf. Zeroed and straight out with it yesterday, it didn't disappoint. I'm now a very happy camo clad Yorkshire man.
  4. I currently have a Hawke Sidewinder and I'm quite happy with it for the money. No issues with this one or the 8 year old hawke on the old springer. Maybe I'm just lucky. I have to say I prefer the Sidewinder to the Night eater I have on the other gun. I'm saying all this but after shooting my mates air ranger with a Bushnell scope and could have happily thrown the Hawke out for the Bushnell. I know what I'll be buying next! Sorry to hear about all the problems you guys have had with the Hawkes, hope you get sorted.
  5. Thanks for the welcome folks.
  6. I'm in the market for a new air rifle and I'm thinking about a Daystate Air Wolf. Thoughts and opinions on this rifle would be very much appreciated, before I go and spend lots of cash.
