  1. Well I took some sandpaper to the v mach piston seal. I also ground down and polished the cocking shoe. Everything slides very smoothly now with much less effort. Cocking is butter smooth and power is back to pre kit levels. Haven't had a chance to shoot any groups but I'm optimistic. These definitely are not drop in kits. Which is fine by me but the instructions and advertising lead you to believe they are.
  2. Ok well I've put around 1000 rounds through it now. Accuracy is back. Consistency is good. Recoil is ok. BUT.....it does seem more hold sensitive, that could just be me though. In any case I seem to be able to shoot it just fine so no bother. However, power is waaaay down. Sooo, I'm going to put the factory piston seal back in and see what happens. If power goes back up to original levels and the gun stays twang free I may stick with that setup or I may try sizing the v-mach piston seal on a lathe.
  3. Hello from across the pond. Looking forward to participating here. Shot powder burners with the old man when I was a kid and just recently got back into it. However I just discovered air rifles and picked up an HW98. So far it's been used mostly for pesting and it's been working great for that. Anyway cheers. Axel
