    You might have guessed I don't go there much. I've got a couple of local permissions and although they're alot smaller than the one further away I use them more.

    Nice bag mate! Sometimes regret not buying an ultra, bought a scorpion for the extra shot count but love the ultra. Think I might need to get one soon.

    Nice car mate, used to have one my self and loved it, have an l200 warrior now and get about 20mpg not good when one ofmy permissions is over an hours drive away!

    me neither, macs rapid looked mint taped so hopefully so will the scorpion. she will need a new name for when she isn't black. i'm thinking Mystique like off x-men.

    Wish i could grow my own face camo, but i'm too baby faced! smooth as a well polished walnut stock.

    A week or two ago i was browsing internet looking at guns that i knew our lass would kill me if i did anything more than just look at, i came across the BSA r-10 with camo stock and thought it looked really nice. still prefer a nice wooden stock but not being a huge fan of the tactical stock (which i have) I thought i could tape it. so after a post on here and an offer of help from Big Mac,( AKA. obi wan and Top Dog) got the ball rolling by buying some tape. going to post my progress over the next week or so.

    Some times but not very often and these kills were witnessed by daz its a hard life being TOP DOG :laugh: atvbmac :thumbs: sounds tough, i'd hate to be top dog! bringing home rabbit after rabbit. suppose being top dog means you have to teach the rookies though. has its downs!

    Do you ever come back empty handed mac? two every trip! (unless they're the same two) I dont think there is such a thing of a course void of life? might be worth asking someone though. the course manager might know where is best. and i dont think they would get someone up if they didnt have a problem. unless they're cruel b@st@rds.

    It is a standard response to anyone who comes on here saying "Free vermin control". Don't take it personally. 99% of people on here ALSO want permissions, anyone on here lucky enough to have one, will not be giving it away free. To be fair, you should go look on the "wanted" section of the hunting bit, some of the responses are WAYYYYYYYY worse than the tame stuff here. The standard respons is also always....go talk to the land owners, everyone here is a hunter, we don't own land, if we did, we'd be out shooting it right now. Good luck fella well put mate!

    well done mate. there is a lot to this hunting. some times i come back from a trip out and feel like Rambo! a few rabbits in the bag and no fluffed shots and other times i feel more like flaming Barry chuckle, one mistake after another!! The wife has started calling me Elmer Fudd now..... I think he got bigger bags than me though. HAHA . my wife calls me a horrible man for killing cute little rabbits, she has a mini party whenever i blank!

    Cheers mac, just want to clarify The rifle stayed in the Bag till i was over a 4 foot wall and away from the road, i know what folk are like and realize too that my actions don't just reflect on me but all who shoot. just look at the mess up in Scotland because of a few people. the kids couldn't tell what it was i had but the bloke obviously put long bag and camo together and figured what was going on. I did try to be polite

    Thanks mate good to know even the experienced among us aren't perfect, if i thought that i would lose all hope and give up. I don't really do sleep so i'm OK there , just need more time in the proverbial saddle to hone the craft!

    After Reading a few of daz39's write ups i thought i'd post my mistakes so hopefully someone wont make them. Turned up at my permission at 6.30 and thought i would get a sneaky hour in, i should have known things weren't going to go well when my normal parking space was taken. i saw some kids on the road that runs across the back of the field so i thought i would carry the rifle in it's case discretely over the wall They saw me and started shouting "there's a man jumping over the wall" i ignored them and unzipped the bag, loaded a pellet as i saw a rabbit hugging a wall 25 ish yards away.

    Hi, I'm thinking of getting my BSA scorpion Camo'd but i want to know if the tape will damage the metal finish in any way? Also does anyone know where i could get this done? I'm not happy doing it myself, i am normally a do everything my self type but not when it comes to my guns. Thanks.
