@Newlife2 I'm getting buggered by the electricity company at the minute, so wouldnt wanna leave a light on all the time. At least not until my bills come down abit! cheers for the advise though. stuck the mosture trap in the cupboard yesterday, will have to wait and see how much that helps. Thanks guys.

I've lived in 3 houses over several years with my air rifles and never had any problems, I've been in my new house around a year and recently my guns have started rusting. I keep them in a locked cupboard with ventalation holes in my bedroom, its fairly warm and its not damp. the rust is fine and dotty, i'm gonna wash the outside with wd40, and get some gun oil for the barrel, is their anything else I need to do? I cant take the guns out as I live in a rented house, so need to "rust proof" the cupboard, not sure whats causing it though, I thought rust needed damp conditions? any advise on wh
