    Now that I've actually thought about it I did pick them up on a Saturday and Sunday they was fine cos I was handling them in the day and it wasn't till in the wk when I finished work was they getting all nippy , they was most prob starving and had this big dickhead grabbing at them , that would piss me off to be fair if I was hungry too. It all makes sense now . Am not the sharpest knife in the draw and usually the answers am looking for does stare me in the face and I just need that person to point me in the right direction before I can get it Cheers MBH

    I am a novice and these are my first kits or ferrets EVER !! I've just been going off what I've read on here and a few books , plus a work mate had them when he was a lad so he's been giving me tips. The first 2 days of having them was fine no bites or nibbles what so ever but suddenly they have turned into jaws and want stop biting. Maybe it's because when I get in from work their hungry cos I leave their food out once I've handled them and go inside for my tea. Most of them are are nibbles but a few have been quite painful . I've also just ordered some of that apple spray to see if that work

    I've just got 3 ferrets . 2 Jill's an a hob and I was just wondering the same thing . At the moment am spending about half hour a day with them after I finish work . When I've got a day off I'll try and do a few half hours maybe morning , afternoon and evening plus maybe 10mins here or there

    Just bought this eBay for £45 , what I thought was just some mess in the hutch Turned out to be this Since the person kept hold of it for my while I went on holiday before paying and picking it up I felt like I had to buy it , plus for the size I thought it was a good buy. Am new to ferreting and keeping ferrets and this is my first time. So is this a easy fix or a complete new floor?? Still new to site so hope this comes out properly with the pictures if not don't shoot me

    Since am new to ferreting I can honesty say I wouldn't have a clue on what the difference of a ferret or a eu poley would be but I'll tell you this if they a cost over a £100 I would expect it to decorate our frontroom for that price

    Joined Instagram yesterday and chose a profile pic and it has changed my THL profile pic to the same one without me knowing . Has this happened to anyone else and do you know how to stop it from happening ?? Am just glad it wasnt a pic of me in the mrs's knickers and bra.....Also if anyone is on there who takes pictures when their out hunting give your name and I'll give you a follow

    I know what you mean mate I've only just joined this site and am new to ferreting as well it's just something I notice whiles looking through old post. If I knew the answer I would of said it but am just as clueless as you haha , like I said try the dog section or the search and am sure you will find help

    You wanna ask in the dog section mate , this is the ferreting section so people will normally answer your questions about ferrets and not bother if you asking about something else. Try the search as well someone would most prob of asked this question before and that search is quite handy

    Am new to this site but what I've read on others is that vets don't really know much about ferrets *not sure how true that is* . But since ferrets are becoming quite popular as a pet's I would think they know a bit more nowadays on how to treat them. If it's something simple then I can't seem there's any harm in doing it yourself but if it gets worst seeing a vet is the next option. Same if your child is ill , if she has a cold treat it with over the counter medicine if it gets worst go the doctors

    I've just ordered a book by simon whitehead on Ebay , I think its ''Ferrets : Bringing their work and welfare into the 21st century''. not sure how good it is but that simon whitehead seems to be the man when it comes to ferreting

    seen somewhere about using a butches line on a hob when trying to find a jill and stuff like a marker dog . I found 'em in the end by googling separately but it would of been a lot quicker if it was all in one place . no worrys tho am sure as time goes on I wont need to look up terms as I would of picked them up. thanks anyway

    I've done search bar without any joy and I've tried google , but the only glossary of ferreting terms results are just about the ferret its self and doesn't include anything about ferreting. so if anyone could help I would be very grateful purse net = net ferret box = box to keep ferret in lurcher = dog I expect am going to get lots of this aren't I hahaha

    Am from blacon and am just starting up ferreting , ain't got any ferrets yet cos am on holiday in Sept for 2 wks and am struggling to get someone to look after my dog never mind a couple of ferrets. In the future if I find anywhere I'll give you a shout if ya like ?
