Ye keep them in a tight circle then you go a give a couple to people you dont even know, bit of a contradiction that.Is there any of the Cork stuff in the makeup of your dogs. What he meant when he said he didn't really know the lads he gave the pups too was that the other lads who have them with him know the lad so there wasn't really any contradiction. The pups are doing well andy. Are any of those the mother of them

She's a pure welsh bitch of good type , she's well put together and although I've been told she's well bred in that she's from decent working hounds ,I don't know her specific breeding. when a shot goes off near by her she just comes out of the cover sulking and finds me .She doesn't bolt at the shot just isn't happy when it's to close Ps she's hunting , drawing on her own and joining in a mark and if she carried on as she is in a few seasons she would be worth having a litter out of. She's pure white with tan ears and tan patches over both eyes. I don't know how to post a photo mate sorry.

Ive got a third season welsh bitch that unfortunately is gun shy , Ive only got a small pack and the covers we push through to guns can be quite small sometimes . If a fox is shot out of one of these small covers the bitch sulks after the shot as its obviously pretty loud . If the shots in the distance she doesn't bother. As everything we have has to play its part as were only a small outfit unfortunately she has to go. This bitch is too good to be put down. she draws, hunts is ok in the kennel and will join in a mark so would be ok for someone who can either just take her on the big days or ha

I like that one but drink puppy drinks a better one, especially after a good day and a few pints!,,,

The Inverness range from decathlon are good they make a thorn proof or a water proof hunting pant they both need a good belt on but the water proof ones get a bit heavy for walking any distance, the thorn proof ones are ok though IMO

Kevk you've just found out what the only down side to working dogs is, The waiting!!!!!!!!! You should be having this conversation this time next year mate, until then you'll have to do what everyone else does ie stroke it,feed it,clean it out, and dream about how good it's going to be!!! .I wouldn't even be taking it when your hunting yet even if its just bushing because you don't want the pup starting to think it can't catch and having a hard time get through the cover because it will stop trying and that'll make it harder to enter when the time is right

Ive got a couple of beagle spaniel crosses that I run with our little gun pack and they are great little things and will draw but not as far as the full hounds there ok on smaller pieces of cover but there not going to draw a fell side without being dragged on by the hounds and they will take a line but it has to be a lot fresher for them to go on it without again being dragged on by the hounds . They can also be got back a lot quicker and easier even when there flat out than full hounds, it's horses for courses they would be ideal as has been said to do little spots for the lurchers or to gun

wxm surely if you wanted the numptys not to get hold of your pups the thing to do is give them to your mates and not let them go anywhere else, problem solved . Sorry boys but imo the people who sell pups do it for for one reason and one reason only and that's to get the cash. Having said that sometimes there are good reasons to sell your pups ie paying towards feeding the rest of your dogs or maintaining your kennals etc but the big money sales are for personal gain which if that's what floats your boat no probs but don't try and justify it as something else eh!!!
