The real important issue right now is..............................lunch! ?
-
My dad is from South Yorkshire, but this was Essex in the 70s........the neighbours soon realised a Yorkshireman had moved in! ?
-
Maybe I should of worked for you then? ? I’m not disputing any of that mate & I’m not saying any of what’s gone on for the op is acceptable, it’s just the loyalty thing has never been a big thing for me. I got burnt at a young age, hence I’ve jacked in every job I’ve had since & gone elsewhere when it suited me & my needs. Yes I have really pissed off some people along the way, but always gave 100% in the job & I’ve never regretted a move, it’s always been for the best.... I had to string along a firm before I left the U.K. They put a lot into me & was priming me

? mate sorry but that made me laugh, I’ve always found that work the other way. Employers dangling the carrot expecting loyalty, but rarely returning it when times change. Not saying you’re like that, but come on? I’ve learnt the hard way....sometimes you just have to jump & see what happens.

That’s the idea mate ?

I was born in a terrace that backed straight onto a railway line with a little garden & my dad had everything in there at one time or other. Chickens, racing pigeons, coursing dogs.....breeding rabbits, there’s even a pic of a shire horse in it at one point! ?

A good friend used to keep a small herd of Red polls. Would slaughter 1-2 a year & obviously feed the family & then sell or pass on batches to friends & family etc......yes the animal was special, but also the idyllic circumstances, that time in my life & the things that were going on that all contributed to that being some of the best tasting beef I’ve had to my memory....

I haven’t heard a starling mimic in years, maybe because the numbers just aren’t what they used to be? But I remember some crackers when I was young......alarms etc

Cheers mate. The only reason that chicken house looks like that is that I fcuked up the cladding on a shed. I didn’t understand the writing on the tins of treatment I used & it was turning green within months..... so I stripped it, turned it into a chicken house & re-clad the shed with proper gear. Very costly! To say my Mrs is patient is an understatement ?

It’s ok dido kept his mandatory 2 metres distance

Yeah I get that after a few grams of psilocybin.....

I’ll be getting mine out this week. Haven’t touched it in months.......so I’ll be rusty for sure ?

Busy day today. At first light I was at a place called Zoet Water, which is a local beauty spot of forestry & lakes, plus what would normally be a few busy restaurants etc.....but what it’s really well known for is its natural spring in the woods. It’s not unusual to find a queue of people filling up large bottles of water from the spring.......but this morning it was all quiet solitude. I took 18 litres of water, admired the reflection of the moon across the lake & headed home for breakfast. After 10 I picked up a new batch of hens, got some more herbs for the vege patch/herb gar

My only knowledge of this comes from an ex girlfriends dad who was a desk sergeant in London retiring at 52 I think? This would of been around 2007 ish....

At least they’ll be less time on the sun bed picking asparagus...... it’s got to be healthier?
-
Do you think he got 40 + Years of pension?
-
I think they should also be put to work harvesting fruit & vege.....

I had similar thoughts the other day. I think a lot of people will miss certain things & opportunities to do stuff they didn’t have before. Family units could be make or break! It’s been a bit of a plus for our family on the whole so far.......apart from cancelling our holiday, but they’ll be others.....
-
Yeah my cars a fcuking mess! I use an Asian car wash which is pretty shite, but I don’t clean cars. We don’t have polish doing it here unfortunately ?
-
Anyone missing shit they would normally be doing yet? I’m usually down the pool hall 2-3 times a week so I’ve started to miss that a bit. Apart from that I’ve been too busy outside to really notice.....Although “daddy daddy daddy” on loop can be a tester ?
-
Yeah heard that earlier, although I thought 9?, but probably wrong. The restrictions here never really progressed as such, apart from closing the barbers a week or so after the initial closure. It’s a pretty soft lock down, you come & go as you like as far as I can tell. I’ve barely seen the police, but then I haven’t ventured into Brussels or Leuven.......so could be hotter there?

How you going to cook the rolled belly?

Here's the thing with me & tail guards....I generally don't like anything on the tail, although I have used tail bells, as you will see on the following pics, so I don't normally have a permanent way of attachment. I invariably just use a tail guard when feeding on a kill & use a large paper clip to hold it in place. I've always been very lucky & not had feather damage at home. I've had good results with loop perches & ring perches. Also used a swing perch, while attended......& I'd defo try one again. Here's something I tried some years back at a different house.
