I copied the Derry Argue's set up, shown on the IFF......it's not practical for everyone, & this is the first place I've lived where I could do such a set up.

This year I used this system for the first time. The gos was tethered on this for part of the day, along with using a swing perch as well, I got to say it's the best combination I've used for a goshawk so far,with next to no baiting......& I will definitely use this with all future birds.

I know we would all like the guy hung, but that's not gonna happen.......so what can he realistically expect sentence wise? Can they give him life? Although he didn't kill, his crimes are up there with the worst IMO...... I bet he would get more for armed robbery.....

I looked into coopers a lot, generally you hear they are difficult & hit/miss, but there just hasn't been enough widely flown in uk (rather than sitting in breeding pens) to get a good idea, but they do well in the states with passage birds which is preferred, captive bred seem mental! A nice male harris really is a pleasure.....I even took mine on a camping/hunting trip to the New Forest....no bother....it broke him to horses lol

That's the down ful of the Harris! And can make it easy for D ickheads to pick um up! Sounds a great flight mate good stuff! I'm afraid you're right, god knows how many there are, sitting in aviaries like parrots,cos people think they'll take up falconry this week.....
