  4. pretty much exactly what i said a couple of posts back...... so do you think different performances or working styles underground have a bearing on weather a bolt is more likely than a dig? I would say so......I go out here with an excellent bolting terrier, he will find a way to bolt if he can.....sometimes popping up to try another direction, saw him bolt 3 just like this on Saturday.....,,,,but will stay til dug if in a hole end, he done a 3 hour stint without moving an inch the other week in Germany......very useful dog, pleases the guns & us when we get a dig :-) Edited to say.....

  7. The best years are there to be had for anyone with the sense to live them mate, lifes what you make it, we wont be dragged down to their level, not real terrier lads. Proper terriers are here to stay mate dont worry bout that! Whilst I'm struggling to make sense of a lot of this thread, this makes a lot of sense to me.....there's still plenty of opportunity out there to work your terriers how you really want to, it's down to the individual to really want it.....

  12. I think you are asking about flying a late bird, right? I did it with my second male Harris......I picked him up at the beginning of February at 16 weeks old (against everyone's advise).....picked him up on the Saturday & flew him free on the Sunday of the following wkend & then proceeded to hunt with him until the start of May. I then put him down to moult & he was ready to go again by September, feather perfect....I wouldn't recommend it, I had my reasons, but it can be done easily..... Incidentally.....I handled my first goshawk (parent reared) right through the moult with
