The bone man said the stuff he put in is stronger than his ligerment was, mine bust all the ligerments in his knee only skin muscle and bone when I took him in. -

My dog done similar thing I got the op done cost us a grand so far, done it the end of last season the bone man said he will work again but not to his full potential. Wish I had PTS some times when he's missing work but still good hopes so it's wether u want to take the gamble, It wasn't elastic the vet used its some kind of super cord, were bouts are you ? -
Lol that's the bit I'm dreading I'll have to get in with the big daft lump and Redcar is defiantly cold this time of year :-o
-
Just before the opp a cat thought it'd walk through me garden, dog forgot he only had 3 legs till he stopped then yelped so I know what you mean about them getting ahead of them selves mate! There's no pools round hear that a lurcher can use bud but soon as the vet says the skins sealed we'll be looking like twats swimming togeather at the local beach lol
-
His opp was done by a top bone man round hear so I'm confident he's had the best treatment I can give him just the recovery now, he's taking to it better than I expected starting to use the leg softly very slow walking gunna work on that and build it up over the summer hopfully :-D

And what size they stand at?
-
Can I ask how much a proper working deerhound pup goes for?
-
Cracking pic were there facing up

glad you said that mate seen the vet again today give us some exercise tips to recovery, he said the dog just needs to re learn how to use his leg it isn't painful just aquard for him. I will put the time and effort into the dog and if he can be brought to working fitness again I'll get him there :-). can I pm you please?
-
be ok for that I would think , prob enjoy that and maybe the odd bolter , but not to many .We do a fair bit of ferreting togeather, a good pal said the same thing still got a good noes on him so even if he'll not run much could still be a handy member of the team, I think he needs some form of work to keep him going. Good retriever and all so if he doesn't run well again I could use him for other bits and bobs

Thanks lads, I was in 2 minds before the opp for pts but he's a cracking pet lives in the house had him from 6wks, the wife and biern wouldn't speak to us. Only reason I got the opp was the vet said he'd still live a good pet life but not likely to graft again, thought he was gunna have it chopped off yesterday I told the vet to pts if he lost the leg but just fluid build up

The elastic bands might make him faster ;-p
