Had 3 in a row now. Mk2, Mk3 (Ex BG) and now a 2.0 tdi R model 140bh dsg and this is by far the best. If you can afford it, go for something at the top end. I never considered ever having an auto but having a season with this one, I would definitely recommend it.

Its all very well blaming various people for the outcome, but in the end it is down to one person, May. You could argue that her civil servant cronies have played a large part in the shitstorm we have now. At the end of the day she has led this "deal" from the begining. Only the other day she said this was the deal that she wanted right from the start of the negotiations. Personally I am fed up being told that I was lied to, didnt know what I was voting for etc. I knew EXACTLY what i voted for and that was to leave the EU. OUT entirley with no ties to the union. Why would you respect someone who wants to see your livelihood severely restricted? This man wanted to impose daily trap checking on the mole catching industry when the vast majority didnt want it. He went as far as trying to do things behind closed doors, until things were brought out into the open for all to see. The man is dangerous to all mole catchers and should be watched very very carefully. -

Where do you guys buy your feed from? I have 3 peanut feeders on the go and 3 finch feeders (niger seed) Bought 20 kg of niger seeds a while back, about 50 quid online. Usually buy peanuts locally at mole valley. But if you have any cheaper sources online, post them up as living next to a forest, in the winter i get through loads of the stuff and it seems to get more expensive each year. A few years ago, i bought peanuts in bulk from bartholomews and got it about 10 quid cheaper per sack (25kg sacks). The fenn mk4 and mk6 was designed to be used in combination with a tunnel of the right dimensions. If no tunnel is used, the target will most probably be foul caught. Think about the result if trapping in a loft and things don't go to plan!

If not the £200 isn't going to even touch the fine they can expect how does it work with blocking the entrance ? do you block it as soon as you've done it or have you gota do it later ?.........I thought hed blocked it as soon as he'd done it.... Aint as simple as that. Depends on where the bees are, how long they have been there. If they are "in" and inaccessible to be removed or extracted (which from my experience takes fecking hours) then the only option would be to kill them. They are not protected despite what you may have been told. But it is required for bee treatments to be blocked after treatment to prevent other bees raiding the treated nest out. What people charge is their business. But, to accuse other mole catchers of tactics such as planting dead moles is just not on. It is underhand and dirty. Best thing mole catchers can do is boycotte the british mole catchers register. She is the one that took over running it.
