Had one Ben. Trigger is very good bolt was a bit agricultural. The accutrigger works really well in my opinion. There are a lot of people who don't like the savage rifles. But to be expected for the price range they are at, they can't compete with top end stuff. I had one in hmr and it was stainless laminate. very accurate little rifle. I did look at a cheap CF for dedicated NV a few years back but that was not great in all honesty. But was something like £600 new Have a look mate and if they have a range asked to have a bash. You know enough to tell if it's for you or not

I can vouch for this gent as honest as they come. If you get the chance of him and his dogs you will be very happy.

I run a small shoot 600 birds and have just had to raise cost per gun from £400 to £500. Seems a good price considering what's about local. I enjoy the keepering and shouting at the guns more than the shooting lol

Somerset levels mostly moorland and ditches. Virtually all grazing no crop grown

Back of my hand first 2 next 2 chicken distress. Last but one vixen on heat. Last one no call at all just had to wait for it to come in.

Spartan if you are willing to sell a kidney to fund it as I did ?

Tonight was return visit to lambing field. After shooting five with the mighty hmr I wasn't expecting much but managed to better it last night. Crazy numbers but hope this will benefit a lot more than just the lambs

Had a phone call this week from a new farmer. Very stressed at losing numerous lambs in one fieldhad five in the one field with little hmr and saw another three more that I could not shoot

Get the t1x you won't regret it. You would be surprised how many I shoot in a year with little hmr

Remember using some black Baikal shells were filthy dirty. Also think they were light loads as everyone was surprised I was dropping foxes with them
-
Getting good numbers still mate. Got some more ground round my shoot. So hopefully keep me busy a few nights of the week as usual lol
-
I am not saying it's as good at night Ben. But I think looking through it in day it will be ok for me to use. At the moment I am swapping between dayscope for stalking and drone for NV. Got to admit YouTube video don't do it justice at night mate very clean picture

Got my last day tomorrow. I have a few guests joining so I will have to keep an eye on them. But if we get a dozen tomorrow I will be happy with last day. Got a walk round Monday planned for guns that have helped feeding work parties etc through summer. Which will be more fun for me

Just got back in after trying c50 with its own ir. Picture was a lot crisper cleaner than my pard. It was a drizzly damp night and still no issues. I couldn't say how clear it is compared to drone. As I didn't take mine tonight. But up to pard big difference. I have ordered one. Anyone want a drone lol
-
Mate just received a new c50 so hopefully get to test it tomorrow night. First impressions look very well made. Was surprised how bulky it was. Even heavier than my drone
-
Very true sir. My wife was annoyed and said they must just make it up

Just doing my renewal. Doctors form £36. Some of my mates there Doctors have not charged. But I suppose on the grand scheme of it all still cheap for five years

Only downside on the tikka Is the stocks imo. If I was you I would definitely look at Boyd's laminate thumbhole. Fitted a few and always been happy. One of my mates bought a Joe west stock which was a little rough to be polite. Looked at grs and as said above seemed very thick and just didn't feel right on sticks. Also had a from stock which was good but very bulky and heavy. I bought a second hand laminate sporter for my t1x which I think transforms the feel of rifle

Tikka T1 and pard 008 with dragonfly

Good night with hmr in freezing conditions

Be very interesting to see what they are like in poor conditions after dark. This is where my drone seems to have massive difference over my pard. Also watched a comparison on YouTube with a xsight. Got to admit the pulsar looked a bit laggy where the camera was a bit slow when moving. But again very hard to tell without seeing through it yourself. All the good reviews can't be wrong though
-
Two chances. If you don't try you will never know. I suspect you will be ok as I know a few that have licences and have a bit of history.

Look at a secondhand ward gentlemen. Tried it against most of them at by far best digital NV ass on. Only issue is manufacturer is a nightmare to get hold off
