+2 as above. And as you probably know, you don't need to be the one accompanying the officer when he/she does the land inspection. But if you are, then make a good impression by knowing in advance which are the safe areas to shoot, backstops, any footpaths, houses etc

Hi, I'm assuming Sako 85? Ken Farrell's Tikka rail (it's Picatinny though, rather than Weaver) will fit - if your receiver is drilled for the mounting screws. IIRC this is done to all Sako 85s and all 75s made after 2004 (not mine!). If not, you will have to find a gunsmith willing to drill four mounting holes into your receiver. I have a Farrell rail and rings on my Cooper Phoenix and the quality is superb. Here's the rail in question: http://www.kenfarrell.com/TIKKA-T3-1-0.html

Restoring The Daystate

It looks really good! I think we've all done things that seemed like a good idea at the time - only to regret it. I think it looks fantastic now - and can appreciate the work involved. -
A Bit Of Advice Needed ?

It's probably not you, more likely the pellets. Every barrel is different and it's only by trying several different types in your barrel that you'll know what's best for your particular rifle. If you shoot, say two five-shot groups with one type of pellet, then repeat with different pellet types, that will give you some idea of what each pellet will do. But to be fair to the pellets, as said above, you should really clean the barrel, take 10-15 shots with Pellet X to re-lead the barrel , then shoot a couple of five-shot groups with Pellet X. Then repeat the whole process for Pe -
Hello everyone, Like Forrest Gump said, my name's Mike Morton - people call me mikemorton. I've been shooting on and off for the past 35 years, but have really taken a greater interest in target - and of course field sports - for the past seven. I enjoy hunting the usual airgun species as well as the occasional deer. I have one legal-limit PCP airgun and three firearms (.22LR, .222 and 7mm-08. I'm not gunsmith, but do enjoy the technical side of gun and shooting as well as the practical stuff. This looks like a great site and I'm amazed I haven't joined up before! I
