  1. totally agree with you mate, no one needs to take 30/40 a night
  2. i can't justify hunting in the summer unless times are hard and you need the meat, if you hunt all year round eventually you won't have any thing to hunt
  3. their aren't many rabbits on the farm, and me and the farmer both eat a lot of rabbit in the winter, the point is not to get rid of them, but to control them so they are still there next year. i got no problem with people poaching, but what's the point in killing a pregnant Rabbit?
  4. He maybe trashed lol The farmer is known as crazy Tom, he lives for nights like these i couldn't take that off the lad
  5. this is what i am affraid of, especially as i have a bitch that hasn't seem much to bring on too. if they did it in the winter then it's fair game, but in the summer on the breeding stock is killing a good farm for next year
  6. thinking about getting a pea gun and having a good nights shooting at them haha
  7. i'm just gutted because if it carries on out of season, their won't be many rabbits for the pot next year, either that or they're dogs won't catch them and they'll be lamp shy
  8. i have permission to lamp rabbits on a local farm, obviously as they're breeding i'm not lamping at this time of the year, but i was driving past it the other night and i saw some people lamping, i phoned the farmer he said no one has permission bar me, so he chased them off. has anyone else had any problems with people poaching they're round outside of the season?
  9. i have been thinking about getting a Whippet bitch to put my Saluki Greyhound over, but all the boys by me have said that they're legs are too weak to run on the rugged welsh landscape, shows how much they know about working a whippet i suppose
  10. i'm planning on keeping a do behind as my dog is 6 this year, he's still working well but i want to keep is blood with me, i'll put some pictures up when they come
  11. bow legged or straight legged? what are the pros and cons?
  12. i'm 22 years old and have a 16 year old brother, i just turn the internet off by the router to make sure he's all logged out, the internet is taking over young peoples lives, none of them will be into dogs or horses or any kind of outdoor activities in a few years
  13. Very nice pups i have Saluki Bull greys due in around 7 weeks, i will follow Asra's example on the homing part of it, did you keep any pups behind?
  14. do you have any problems running the whippet on rough ground?
  15. i got pups due in 7 weeks i can't wait, i love bringing a dog on and watching it learn the ropes, some cracking pups there lads best of luck with all of them!
  16. beautiful pup mate, how is she bred? and how old?
  17. i'd get a German Shepherd, that will stop people going on the yard, if the Bedlington X does the job for you already and you just want the other dog just as a pet you can't go wrong with a shepherd
  18. i had a dog like that before but my dragon killed it....
  19. my black bitch is the same at 2 years old, she has selective hearing at times it can be a nightmare at times I it's because when she was younger the kids in the family used to make a big fuss over her and still do really an when Av got her walking around getting her used to the roads ect everyone we pass speaks an strokes her so she get her self all excited when she see some differentan i bought my bitch at 9 months old she was attention deprived, hardl ever walked and never had a fuss made about her, so when i started treating her a better she went a bit over the top, she's coming on
  20. my black bitch is the same at 2 years old, she has selective hearing at times
  21. my Saluki X Greyhound with a toe removed on his front paw, it doesn't stop him, he's one of the fastest dogs around my area. As long as it's not a toe from the back paws it shouldn't affect performance at all
  22. on some permission of mine i found a fox with a dead lamb in it's mouth, it's only people in London who think that Bazil Brush is cute and cuddly!
  23. try telling a poultry farmer that Foxes don't do much damage.......
